Alick sighed. "The sweatershirt was for you to cover yourself." He shook his head. "I'll try and distract her." He drew two arrows, and quickly fitted one. He took aim at the reaper lady's left eye, and let it loose. Almost before the first had left the string, he had drawn the second one back, and let it go, towards her right eye. Maybe she can't die, but I bet even she can't see with an arrowhead in her eye.

The oversoul expanded repelling the attacks. "You are fools. Only spirit energy can defeat an oversoul. You are clearly too weak for me to waste my energy on." She then cuts right where the blood of their former ally was dripping. The cut seemed to cut through space and time as in the cut could be seen a dark abyss. She then plunges the scyth into the whole. "Get me a good one" the chains rattled and went into the cut. She then pulled up on the weapon and the hole widened as a giant demon wrapped in her chains appeared. "Destroy them" the demon then charged to attack.

ooc((ok a few things. The parchment works like this. Put it on your chains and poof, chains are gone. Also I want a vote on what to do next. How do you guys feel about NPC run side-quests that will aide in your adventures? Currently that is what I am planning but I will not add them if you guys vote against it. Just so you know it will involve talking with people to gather clues and information. Maybe to be true to RPGs I will even have a few give you items.))

Curd was now officaly pissed off, he grabed a parchment and put it on the chains, they disapeared and so did Curd from that spot. He jumped at the demon and revealed his other two arms, and brought them into contact with the demon, sending it into a nearby tree.
"No more holding back!", Curd sat there as the tree fell over and the demon tryed remembering what just happend. Curd could feel it now, his spirit coming to the brink.....and letting go.

ooc: I hope this post is alright, I wouldnt mind having extra quests or items.

Seeing what the parchment did for Curd, Alick snatched it up as soon as the big man dropped it. He touched it to the spiritual bindings, and was immediately rewarded with the comforting presence of his spirit allies.

"You okay?" he asked them.

"Fine," Gavan replied. Ivar didn't reply, but his ghostly eyes burned with rage at the woman. Alick nodded. He rolled up the scroll and tossed it in the general direction of the others. From one of the pockets on his pants, Alick took out two leather items. They were protective broacers for his arms. Designed to keep a passing bow string from injuring his forearms, Alick almost never used them. However, since these also belonged to Ivar, and by infusing them with mana, Ivar's spiritual energy could form shields of varying sizes, and even domes over Alick's entire body. The problem was that the larger the shield was, the more mana it took to maintain. And it couldn't be used if the oversould was engaged.

"Alright, time for some pay back." The immediately engaged their own oversoul, and the old bow burned with spiritual flames once again. The ehtereal, yet solid, hawk waited to be shot through space.

"Who do we hit?" asked Ivar. "The bitch or the demon?"

"Let the big man deal with the demon," he pulled back the string, and held it taut for several seconds. "If she sends something big our way, I'm going to have to shift some energy into the bracers." Without another word, he sent the hawk screaming through the air towards the reaper, ready to rip her apart.

GadGad finished digging himself up and touched his chains with a scroll. "Too bad I couldn't get out sooner, I coulda given out weapons and helped beat up the lady. Oh well." GadGad looked from the demon to the reaper. I think I'll let Curd handle that thing. I don't think he can really control himself right now, and I don't wanna get hurt if I can help it. So that leaves the lady. GadGad started running toward the lady. He threw a left hook at her and tried to grab her scythe with his tail. "You've seen that we can fight without weapons and spirit. Let's see if you can!"

EDIT and OOC: Side quests are good. Lots of roleplaying opportunities in a long mission that's not all fighting (not that I don't enjoy fighting).

Toi finally figures out what it says, then slaps it onto her chains, with her clothes, armor, and sai reapearing in her hands. "Now what was that I said, ah yes, I promised you an ass whooping." Toi Spins the sai rapidly then throws them at her, while creating an illusion her where she was standing, she switchs to fox form and dives behind the reaper. Finally she returns to 'human' form and breaths kitsune bi onto the scythe, while punching reaper in the spine.

The demon continued its assult. While Reaper simpley took every hit. She just smiled. "Fools, I cannot die with death as my partner." She jumps into the air. "Sicle Slash" she swung her blade. Each stroke sending a wave of energy that could cut stone at all of them.

ooc: another piece of advice. You will notice she controls the demon with the same chains she bound your spirits with. Also unless there is a sudden vote against it I will be doing the quest.

GadGad's attack having failed, he turned his attention to Curd and the demon. Hmm... Curd seems ta be holding his own, but I'll go help'im anyway. GG charged at the monster and whacked at him with his tail. A scroll was stuck to one of his quills; he'd gotten it stuck there when he removed his own chains.

ooc: ok we will make your character an NPC for now, like we did with Outbounder. Now time to start the side-quest, or rather set it up

When the arrow hit the demon was free. It immediately went after the one that captured it. "Fool" she said with no emotion and with a single swing sent it back to Hell. "Time to stop playing." She jumped into the air and her scyth glowed red. "Time to finish all of you off." Something then seemed to get her attention as she simpley landed. "I see master, as you wish." She looked at them all. "You got lucky this time. I will capture your souls another time. She then cuts open a portal to the feudal world and jumps in.
