I really don't like this series. If I were one of the characters, I'd be the most depressed person ever. "I'll be right back; I'm going to check the mail... Oh No! A dead body, and only I can solve the mystery. Just like yesterday and the day before that..."
I don't like it because it seems so absurd at times. The lengths these people go through to commit murder is unrealistic. Let's see... I could kill him and then go through these ridiculous lengths to cover it up that would never happen in the real world, or I could do a drive by. For the love of God, if a famous detective has been invited over for dinner or a party, don't commit murder that same night! I know that's not the point of mystery stories, but Sherlock Holmes seemed to be... what's the word... plausible. Let the flames begin. |
Well, the kid does tend to hang out with a homicide detective a lot, so that might cause him to come across more murders than usual.

You know when are they going to figure out its just these kids killing all these people? Coincidence that they find the murders, I think not. Then they just rely on that one kid's rep to bail them out and pin it on some poor schmoe.
This show should be taken off the air and everyone involved with its creation and distribution taken out into the backyard hit sharply with a stick and told, "no." |
i really only watch it to see what kinds of horrid disgusting murders can be commited next

it wasn't spur of the moment. It was all carefully planned out.

I like this show.
And dirve bys are a really poor way of killing someone. You dont know if there dead and in the real world it is not as hard to solve as you may think it is. Most of his cases like in all detective movies, in the real world the police would be able to survive (well they arnt stupid enough to over look some real obvios evidence, and the do ferensics). in holmes days they made more sence, but any modern one is inherintly un accuret. cause well who wants to read about someone matching bullets, testing dna, running profile, looking through databases. and all that fun stuff. |
While I like all the parts important to a mystery, I find one thing annoying: Justifiable Murders. As in, very nearly all of them are. I wanted a few more cold-blooded or selfish reasons for murders, ones that are motivated by the more base human emotions. Only one of those I remember was the woman who pretended to be looking for her father. The criminals always had a relatively good reason for commiting their crimes.
