The Incredibles.

Go see it. Now. It is without a doubt, the best CGI movie out there. I loved every bit of this movie. And the best part is...It's a kid's movie. So take your little cousins, or your whiny baby brothers, or your loud-mouthed kids, and GO SEE THIS MOVIE!
Jason Lee makes the best villian.

Ten bucks says its not a kids movie. What you MEANT is its a movie acceptable for kids to watch, when in reality it was made for all audiances.

And for once, I actualy want to see a Pixar film in the theaters, cuz this one looks hillarious. If only from the Fantastic Four parody approach and not from all the otherthings.

I love Pixar films. The adult jokes mixed in with the kiddy humor. They really know how to work with the audience.

Ironically one of the few complaints leveled against this film is that it isn't as appropriate for kids as the previous Pixar films. Go read the Newsweek review if you don't believe me. The Incredibles is more of an action/adventure movie along the lines of Raiders of the Lost Ark. The villain is a real threat, the enemy troops carry real guns and people do get killed.

That said the movie is really funny in places and features some of the best superhero action sequences I've ever seen. I pity the people making the Fantastic Four. The animation in the film is outstanding. So good that even though the character designs are stylized it's easy to forget the film isn't live action. It completely sells the characters and settings. Easily one of the best superhero movies out there.

This movie was indeed pretty swell. Much better than I assumed it would be going in, I liked that it didn't directly cater to little kids.

I can see the reason for the arguement for not letting kids see this movie, but if this movie is too intense or dark for you child you should probably kill him/her now he'll never be ready for the real world. Are we raising a generation of pardon the expression "pussies"?

What are you reading this thread for? See the movie already! Do it!

Commentary: My friend, who is a huge comic book fan went into this movie expecting it to be the best superhero movie ever. I told him not to keep his hopes that high, as he would be sorely dissapointed. Guess what? He and I came out of the theater with the same conclusion: that it was indeed the best superhero movie ever.

TheZeroMan 11-09-2004 05:51 AM

I won't go so far as to consider it the best Superhero movie ever, however I would rank it as the best superhero movie created by Pixar and released by Disney ever. That has to count for something right?

It not exactly as god as Batman or X-Men 2 or Spiderman... but it is indeed a fine film.

I saw this on Sunday....it roxxored my boxxors. Plus it had a trailer for Episode III at the beginning. Together it practically overloaded my nerd circuits.

Every person should see this movie. It is awesome!

I didnt see any starwars trailor, though i dont have hopes for it. What i did see was a very funny movie that lives up to pixar, they make some damned good movies. It is part of the new movies aimed at all ages, shrek was the first in recent times (alright it probly wasnt but it was one and started this hole thing) hopefully they keep making them this good.

I liked the movie. I was dissappointed in the villain though. Putting the hero back in the same contraption when he got out of it earlier in the movie? Come on!

As for the Episode 3 trailer, it left me wanting more. People. Its time to get out the tents, and the coolers. It's going to be awhile before May 19, 2005.
