I'd like to nominate Cervantes from Soul Calibur 2. Not only does he wield two swords, but he has dark powers anbd is a pirate! Yar!

Ryu Hayabusa from Ninja Gaiden is also worth nominating. If you played the XBox rendition, you'd know what I mean.

Possibly Luc from Suikoden. Goes from a Traniee who has mastered Wind Magic to the Holder of the True Rune of Wind who can destroy entire armies to a Masked Psuedo-Villian who tries to purge the world of War by destroying entire races.

And through it all, he's never really a 'bad guy'.

Kuja. Aaaaaaaaand...yeah, just Kuja from Final Fantasy IX. He wears a purple thong, and makes it look better than most supermodels can. He has his own dragon, ass-kickin' magical powers, ultima, he blew up an entire planet, disrupted the flow of souls and threw the world into chaos on the other planet, AND he's a kickass poet with silver hair. Sigh. Swoon. Drool. Oh, and he wears maaaaaaaakeup, and not the clownish kind like Kefka. Mmm...guys in makeup...

Also, maybe the banker from Termina in Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask.

Samus. she's got a laser strapped to her arm, has a power suit that can morph into a ball and lets her walk through lava, she's got a laser attached to her arm that can shoot different types of lasers, and is the only person who's able to fight off the Metroids. Oh, she's got a laser cannon on her arm too. thats hott, with two t's.

The guy you play as in the first Way of the Samurai, cuz that had the most badass intro EVAR. Those three guys were all attacking him like "ROOOORWGH!" and he was all like ".... *starts to draw sword*" and then the screen was all like "I'm black now, with white lines symbolizing the monumentous ass-kicking that's taking place now!" then it goes back to your dude who's like "*puts sword back into sheath all non-chalant*" then the three guys are all like "BLARG WE ARE DEAD". Was that awesome or what?

Also, adult Link from Ocarina of Time was pretty badass too. C'mon, with the Biggoron Sword, how could you not wish you were him?

I would never want to be Link. Ever. All the shit he gets put through? And all the shit he gets for it? He saved the world damn near by himself, and he got almost no credit for it. Plus, he's got all those girls after him, which I can tell you, is painful. What little bit of his childhood he had sucked ass, and all his really good friends ended up leaving him to be sages or to die or go off, save for Malon.

So yeah. Sucks to be him.

Agreed. I was very puturbed(sp?) when Link didn't even get a thank you kiss from Zelda before she used the Ocarina to zap him back to his original time. Still, he just looks badass. And the new Link that's gonna be in the Zelda game coming out next year? Holy shit. He's got this definate "don't-fuck-with-this" look to him, so you know he's pissed about it (the no kiss thing I mean). And hey, what's this crap I hear about it being for the Xbox and not for Gamecube? Heads will roll! >=(
