heres and example:
(This is one of my chars.) Barely Black Mage Abilities: [A]Black Magic, [A]Items, [R]Return Magic, [S]Geomancy, [C]None Equipped Items: Black Hat, Reaper Cloak, Thor Rod, Magic Ring, Red Boots Move: 3, Jump: 2, Evade: 37 Weapon Atk.: 356, Def.: 392 Magic Power: 463, Res.: 558 Speed: 144 You basically start out with one blank person, choose a job, equip items that give abilities to that job, work at the ability until you've mastered the ability, switch items and do it again. You can keep doing this with every job until you've mastered them all. My main guy is a ninja/thief. |
All right, FC, I'll get to that. But, I'll need to get FFVII from my friend here in town, so I can check up on it. It's been literally years since I've played FFVII...my copy was STOLEN!!! T-T
But, yeah, I'll get back to you on that. I suppose that you'll also want me to use only one bangle, too, right? |
I'm actually fine with using either FFT or my Tifa as my Character.
|
..Wouldn't an FFT character kinda destroy the point of the story? I thought this was a bunch of distinct people from different worlds that got stuffed together. FFT/A characters are really little more than controllabe NPCs.

Palom's the Black Mage and Porom's the White Mage. Together, they had a power which damaged the whole enemy party with either the Comet or Flare. I didn't take long before Palom and Porom proved more powerful than Tellah at his best. At about level 25, Palom's Fire 2 spell was stronger than Tellah's Fire 3 spell, but Tellah wasn't meant to be a powerful character in the game, due to his age and the fact that he never gained more than the 90 MP he started with, no matter how much you leveled him.
Edge is cool because he can dual wield the katana series of swords. He was unstoppable when you equipped him with Murasame and Masamune. The swords were even enchanted to affect the party with Haste or affect the enemy with Slow. I think he had only six ninja abilities. Flame (Fire attack), Flood (Water attack), Blitz (Lightning attack), Image (Creates duplicates which take physical damage for you), and I think one that used smoke bombs so you could escape, called Smoke, and another which dropped...what I assumed were bowling pins on the enemy to Confuse them, which was called Pin. Damnit, if only I had that game with me to make sure, but I think that's all of it. Plus, he can throw swords, knives, ninja stars, and other things to do damage to the enemy. Edge is damn good. Anyways, since nobody picked her, I'll be the badass and sexy adult Rydia from Final Fantasy IV. Name: Rydia Abilities: Black Magic / Summon Equipment Weapon: Lightning Whip Shield: None Head: Ribbon Body: Lune Dress Arms: Rune Ring Black Magic Fire 1 - Beginner's level Fire spell. Sets the target ablaze. Fire 2 - Adept's level Fire spell. Scorches the target with living flame. Fire 3 - Master's level Fire spell. Obliterates the enemy with flesh devouring explosions and burning flares. Ice 1 - Beginner's level Ice spell. Hammers the target with needles of frozen water. Ice 2 - Adept's level Ice spell. Bites into the enemy's flesh with frigid ice teeth. Ice 3 - Master's level Ice spell. Crushes the enemy under a gargantuan ice stalactite. Lightning 1 - Beginner's level Lightning spell. Strikes the target down with a bolt of Lightning. Lightning 2 - Adept's level Lightning spell. Electrified the target with ball lightning. Lightning 3 - Master's level Lightning spell. Flash fries the target with bolts from the blue. Venom - Inflicts Poison on the target. Surrounds the target with a plume of noxious gases that inflict poison if inhaled. Virus - Inflicts Virus on the target. Smites the enemy with a hungry infection that rapidly eats up Hit Points. Drain - Magically transfers Hit Points from the target to the caster. Psyche - Magically transfers Magic Points from the target to the caster. Quake - Only Earth spell available. Opens a giant crevasse into the ground. Doesn't damage flying and floating targets. Weak - Reduces the target to near death Hit Point status using a life-sucking whirlwind. Stone - Curses the flesh of the target with petrification. A status effect like KO that can be restored by casting Esuna instead of Life or Life 2. Death - Instantly kills the target with the Grim Reaper's cold embrace. Doesn't work on most bosses. Nuke - Unleashes unhealthy doses of volatile energies on the targets. Second to the Metero spell in terms of damage that Black Magic inflicts. Meteor - Calls down the wrath of straying rock from outer space. Affects the entire party of the selected targets. The Black Magic of legend. Summon Chocobo - Summons a Chocobo which damages the enemy with rapid talon kicks. Titan - Summons Titan, who opens a fissure into the bedrock that then swallows enemies. Doesn't damage flying and floating targets. Dragon Mist - Summons a dragon made of mist that exposes the targets to cold, damaging "Mist Breath." Jinn - Summons Jinn the spirit of fire that uses "Hellfire" to deal considerable fire damage to the targets. Shiva - Summons Shiva the spirit of ice that uses "Diamond Dust" to deal considerable ice damage to the targets. Indra - Summons Indra the spirit of lightning that uses "Lightning Blast" to deal considerable lightning damage to the targets. Asura - Summons the legendary Queen of the Monsters that will either cast a powerful Cure 2 spell, Cure 3 spell, Cure 4 spell, or Life on the targets. Asura used good tactics, but they weren't good enough for White Mage Rosa's Wall spell. Leviathan - Summons the legendary King of the Monsters that will use "Tidal Wave" to deal considerable water damage to the targets. Let's just say that Leviathan felt it wise to grant his power to Rydia after her "shocking" performance in her battle to prove herself worthy of him. Sylph - Summons Sylph who joined Rydia for martial arts master Yang's sake. Drains Hit Points from the enemy targets and transfers them to the ally party. Odin - Summons Odin who rushes into the targeted party, dividing them in two and instantly killing them. Does not work on most bosses. A gift from the former king of Baron Castle. Imp - Summons Imp, who does considerable non-elemental damage to one target. Bomb - Summons Bomb, who does considerable non-elemental damage to all targets. Bahamut - Summons Bahamut, the legendary dragon, who unleashes monumental non-elemental damage with his famous attack, the "Mega Flare." Bahamut didn't grant this to Rydia easily, but rather through trail by countdown. That's as much as I remember off the top of my head. I'll update as I learn more. |
Damn! That's a lot of abilities and Summons! I guess Tifa will have competition to be the sexiest gal. :p
|
Not really. Rydia was 16-bit...orginally. Tifa was 3D polygons, CG, and anime. Tifa is by far the sexiest woman in Final Fantasy. I like Yuna, but Tifa's got it going on. She's all that and a canister of Pringles...'cause bags of chips get all crumbled up 'n' shit.
I think there's something missing in her arsenal but I think I truely got everything. |
Tifa IS the sexiest woman in Final Fantasy! I mean, look at some of the artwork of her!
Rydia was nice too, but not quite as buxom, and lacked something of Tifa's classic beauty. Rydia is going to caus some small problems, since this will require a reason for her to look the same age as she was at the end of the game, while Palom is now a young adult. I was thinking that perhaps she would be unable to age further until she had "made up" the time she spent in the Land of Summoned Creatures...but that's just my idea. Also, how advanced would Palom's black magic be at this point, and what abilities would he have? I'm guessing that he would have all of Rydia's spells, but other than that I'm not sure. |
Hmmm...well, that's true. We'll just make Rydia a very sexy woman now. She was about 17 to 19 at around the end of Final Fantasy IV so if we turn Palom and Porom, who were...oh, maybe 9, into young adults, Rydia would be a nice, mature 26 to 28 years old. She'd be so hawt.
Palom should have all of Rydia's Black Magic. We could always NPC Porom if you want. I can dig into my head for all the White Magic spells if I need to, and you can upgrade their Twin powers to include more than just Flare and Comet, probably. |
I was thinking that Porom wouldn't be there for some reason. Even if they were close as little kids, their different idealogies might drive them apart as they grew older.
As for the twin ability...cute as it was when they were kids, it would be slightly redundant as they became adults. I was also thinking that Palom would have figured out how to use spells like that on his own by now, Flare, Comet, and perhaps Ultima. One thing Rydia has that Tifa doesn't: she uses whips as a weapon. Very, very sexy green-haired chick with a whip....mmm...gah, I'm such a pervert! >.< As for items, do the characters have them at the start of this RP? I mean, besides iconic weapons like Cloud's Buster Sword or Rydia's whip. |
