Chainsaw
Debilitator
Flash
Air Anchor

Anything wrong with his equipment? All I really care about are his tools as they are what makes him unique.

Personally I think we should just worry about the character archetypes and forget the esper/GF/materia. They take away from the individuality of the characters. Magic should be left to those who are casters first, such as Palom, Celes, and Rydia. The rest of us are just warriors with unique abilities. Edgar would rely on his tools, Locke would have his thievery, Cecil would still have his Dark Knight Dark Wave skill.

But considering I have no idea how this RP will be working, whether the DM will calculate damage, atk strength, and the huge amount of variables that would have to be balanced throughout all games (which seems rediculously complicated) or we just roleplay it out.

I don't know but you can count me in whatever happens.

Is that even an FF character?!

"Tifa walks into the Crimson Dragon Bar. As she walks in the chatter about the room stops as all the men stare at her breasts. She notices this and and gives them a glance like she should not be disrespected. They all went back to their cards, discussions and rum. She walked to the counter and ordered a drink."


Edgar steps up to the bar. As the bartender places the drink in front of Tifa, he
says, "You can put that on my tab."

Turning to Tifa he remarks with a smile, "A woman as beautiful as you should never have to buy a drink."


Never played FF VI? A travesty! Simply a travesty, I say! Best of them all, there can be no doubt. No fancy 3-D graphics here. Just a hell of a story, strong characterization, and excellent gameplay...

Tifa takes a sip of the drink and then says to Cloud, "Where have you been?"

We should start the RP otherwise we might just keep it going in here. lol

"Cloud walks up and sits next to Tifa. 'You're right, she never should, especially when her SO is around to do that for her. Now, move along.'"

Edgar ignores the rude scruffy-looking boy while awaiting a reponse from the beauty sitting next to him.

"Tifa takes a sip of the drink and then says to Cloud, 'Where have you been?'"

Edgar notes the lovely lady's dismissive attitude with some chagrin. "Hmm... I guess my technique's a bit rusty...", he remarks to no one in particular.

Cheering up rather quickly as he's used to this sort of reaction, he calls out, "Well, such an unfortunate occasion calls for a drink!"

He takes a swig before standing up. Rubbing his chin thoughtfully, he wonders what he should do next.

The bar and everyone in it fade to black except Edgar who stands frozen in position. He's a handsome man. His royal lineage is obvious with his strong chin and high cheekbones. His eyes are a piercing blue. Edgar's long blonde hair is held into a pony tail by a string of beeds.

His already broad shoulders are enhanced by a translucent breastplate and shoulder guards. He has wrist guards as well, made of the same crystal looking material, but that is the extent of his armor. His clothing is very fine, made up of deep blues and violet. His lavender cape is long and flowing but he somehow manages to not trip over it all the time. He has a lighter blue sash at his hip while his pants and blouse are both royal blue. Within the folds of his sash, the jeweled hilt of a sword can be seen.

White letters appear floating beneath him in the darkness:

"Edgar...
The young king of Figaro Castle,
Ally of the Returners,
and a master designer of machinery..."

The words fade and the bar and it's patrons reappear. In motion once more, Edgar looks around the crowded room, muttering to himself, "Where the hell is Locke?"





We might as well RP some. Chance to get used to the being the character at least. Although looking back over previous posts, it seems this entire RP is moot. Aeria had remarked that it is against the rules to use existing characters. Checking the rules, I see that this is indeed the truth. So what is the point? I'm assuming that moderators must not actually enforce this rule?

OOC: Edgar Roni Figaro, king of Figaro. The first scholar-type character to actually become powerful in a FF game...though you could also call him an artificer.

FFVI had great characters...but I couldn't like the magic that much. It seemed like the mages all had the same bizarre spellcasting. FFIV was better when it came to magic. For overall coolness, FFVII is unsurpassed, and FFX has the best use of watersports and living rune-monsters. :p

Okay so who wants to PM Rairai and ask for her permission to do this RP? That person could explain to her that we are taking the chars from our games to technically the only thing that's the same is the appearance and the alliance. The personalities could be very different and the powers are different.
