What the crap!?!
anyone else see that thing they aired on Cartoon network at 11:30 PM sunday. I am not even sure what it was called. It seemed to be a parody of anime but I am not sure.
Thoughts, opinions? |
Are you talking about Super Milk Chan? I think that was on sunday around that time...
|
no super milk chan came on at 12:30. This thing was 15mins long and was followed my some Space Ghost commentary thing.
-you wuss, you got beat by a naked girl, and a naked hotdog. hahaha |
I believe that that was the time-slot in which "Squidbillies"(sp?) was supposed to air.
Sounds like the show and it's whole ad campaign was just a joke. I didn't get to see it, as I was preoccupied with a video game. |
I saw parts of it and wasn't really sure what it was either. Laughed my ass off thou at the parts I did see.

The people at Williams Street like to pull pranks on thier veiwers from time to time.
"Perfect Hair Forever" (The first half) and the following panel discussion is most likely one of those pranks, as people were expecting something more... squidy, and more hillbillie-y. Now I'm not even sure if Squidbillies was even going to be a show in the first place. Taken as the whole half hour, I'm glad I watched it. Also, it was funny to read the posts of confusion, hatred, and glee on the Adult Swim and Toon Zone forums. |
I only saw the hair quest thing when it aired at like 2:30 am, and I thought it was just a harsh rip on a large percent of Japanese animation as a whole. I didn't know it was, uh, not what people were expecting.
But these are the people who've made "Bill Goes to the Mayor" or whatever the title is. |
Adult Swim is doing too many pranks right now. I mean with the "ATHF is canceled" thing and now these fake crappy shows. They need some more anime to fill up these empty time slots with instead of pranks.
|
Nearest I can figure it will be a regular show and is called "perfact hair forever" which I for one am looking forward to.
And yes it is a parody of anime...About stinkin' time! Only thing I like better then my favorite genres are parodies making fun of them |
Foamy: They do have shows to fill up this time slot. It's called "Tom Goes to The Mayor" followed up by a new season of "Sealab 2021". They just held them back for a week.
Quote:
Tom Goes to the Mayor is done by a different group, consisting of Tim Heidecker, Eric Wareheim, and Bob Odenkirk. You can visit the original creator's (Bob Odenkirk signed on later) webpage here. |
