Newb flew along after Jada, their powerful wings allowing them to easily outdistance the various Arhra's. "Sooner or later one of them will pop out at us, we need to escape." Newb pulled a key from his pocket, landed, and stuck the key into the ground. Almost immediately, a door appeared. Newb opened the door and ushered Jada through. "Get ready to run down this really fast, I'm gonna get rid of this passage so that we can't be followed." Newb closed the door and locked it. The tunnel began closing up, starting at the door and making its way towards the other end. Newb and Jada raced down to the bottom, and watched as the tunnel closed up. "I wouldn't like to see Arhra get through that, because that would mean he would be here, but I don't think it will happen. Well, let's get moving." Newb and Jada set off.
OOC: You can't tell me that there is no tunnel down here. It's a city, and there are probably subway systems, and at the very least a sewer. Lots of video games have you going through the sewers to get you to another building. |
Jada and Newb raced through the sewer system, zigzagging through the various pipes and still making sure the shield wasn't touching them. As sewer rats passed by, they were crushed and torched by the shield, which was powerful as 10 billion black holes and hot as a thousand suns. On a cold day.
"We're close now," Jada said. He turned left and halted abruptly, Newb almost hitting the side of the shield. Before he could ask a question, Newb floated downward with the shield, which ripped through the metal below the two Calvinballers. As they floated down, a brilliant light flashed in the middle of the room. "The Calvinball!" Jada and Newb said at once. "At last," Jada said. He opened the shield for a split second and closed it, Calvinball safely inside. |
The pop-ups suddenly went from annoying to hostile.
Which was fine with Toastburner, he had a whole lot of frustation to vent. "That's it...play time is over." Toastburner muttered. Toastburner typed a simple command into the computer which controlled his cable: Delete. Now, everything he hit would be deleted. Swinging his cable it's blade-like plug around like a helicopter blade, Toastburner cut his way through the army of pop-ups, each one subcoming to the delete code. Finally, Toastburner stood alone. He pulled the cable back...and accidently caught the blade in his hand instead of the cable. ZING! Toastburner was suddenly in the Recycle Bin...surrounded by an army of slightly miffed pop-ups. "It has not been a good day." |
OOC: Arha, I have guessed the reason. You intend to set yourself as an uber-entity of unreasonable power via godmoding. *yawn*
Power isn't power unless you use it with style, all the godmodiness in the world won't make you any less of a n00b if you don't use it correctly. IC: Dragonsbane opened one eye, and gestured nonchalantly, sending the duplicates flying, "Couldn't care less, Arha. Newb, Jada, while you two are busy doing whatever you plan on doing, I'm gonna return to the game now..." He appeared next to them, "Ah...you found it. I was beginning to get worried." he nodded, "By the way, I fully intend to delete Arha if he tries ripping apart reality again...just as an advance warning." |
"That sounds fair," Jada said. "Are you allied with us? And if not, do you wanna be?"
|
"If I'd rather not, then I would either have not come here, or just attacked you both from behind." he shrugged, "Sure, I'll ally with you two...as long as neither of you tries any treachery, neither will I." he shrugged again.
"Now, where exactly are we going, and what do we plan on doing with the Calvinball?" |
"Well, I'd planned on just keeping the Calvinball safe in this Hellshield I've got here," Jada smiled proudly. "Nothing can get in or out unless I say it can. Do you have an idea as to where we should go?"
|
Dragonsbane raised an Enhanced Shield...a bit like a Prismatic sphere, except that a specific combination of spells wasn't the key to bring it down. It was also permanent.
"There...now nothing can get in or out without my approval, as well. I suggest we try making it even more secure...remember that extradimensional room I built for it several games back?" he grinned at the memory. |
"Oh yeah, I remember that," Jada said. "Was that the game when I still had my CEO?"
|
"Nope, the one before it." he shrugged, "Yeah...it's been a long time since I actually tried using this thing. After all, whoever tries to abuse its power usually ends up being defeated by the others."
