Favorite Games

This thread is to say what your favorite game is and why...

Mine would definently be Conquer's Bad Fur Day...*sigh* there is nothing better than watching little squirrels and teddy bears kill each other in horribly painful ways.

Well, my top 10 changes very often, upon remembering things from earlier games...

#1: Tales of Symphonia. Truthfully, it's one of the very few RPG's that I've actually loved.

#2: Fire Emblem 8. Hell, I got my avatar from it. The only problem, is that everyone is simply too good, and if you do things right, you can beat the game with very little difficulty... then again, you're forced to play Easy Mode on the first time, so...

#3: Final Fantasy 4. Good music, and, believe it or not, I enjoy soap opera-ish drama. And Kain Highwind > all.

#4: Conker's Bad Fur Day (Multiplayer only). God, how I loved getting cornered at the top of my enemies' base, then jumping off, and picking each enemy off as they came down with me...

#5: Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. if not for the 10+ 1-Use masks, I'd put it higher.

I haven't played a lot of games (me poor + cheap parents = very bad) But, my favorite so far is Lunar: Eternal Blue. I like old skool gamess, since the bad grapics of FF7 hurted my eyeballs (don't flame me, they really did,) I liked FF9 though. Anyways, L:EB is 2-D. Imagine a combo of a tactical RPG and a regular one. You're free to walk around, but when you're in a battle, you're taken to this enviorment much like a tactical. In the battle you have move points and range of weapons and other such things. So one could run up to a baddie and slash it, cast a long range spell, or get out of the baddies way so it can't reach you amd waste a turn. The music was good. Also it has anime cut scenes. Oh, I wish they made more games like that nowadays. By the way, I'm talking about the Sega CD version, if that makes any difference ( I haven't played the remakes.)

I always liked Final Fantasy Tactics, mainly because of the job system, and the story. I really hate that m...f... Delita
I think that's my favorite game.
There's a lot of games I like too (FF7, SMB, Castlevania, CT....) but nothing like FFT.

Ill be a fan of Seiken Densetsu II until I die (secret of Mana) because that is in my opinion the greatest game ever made in history. Yes there are MANY good games, but nothing that could ever defear SDII as the greatest game ever made.

Some of my Favourites:

Super Metroid
Shining Force
Zelda: Ocanaria of time
Metroid Prime
Homeworld
Halo (Maybe no. 2 as well? I'll find out this weekend :D)
Red Alert 2
Baldur's Gate

EDIT: Now that I think about it, this is exactly the same as the sticky titled: "what game do you think is best" That isn't a good thing.

This, and the fact that everyone wants to discuss favourite games, is why there is a sticky about favourite games. If you wanna go diehard "I LOVE THIS GAME!" do it there. If you want to talk about favourite games at all, do it there. Please.

hmmm, this is hard. It is a toss up between Civ 2, Dragon Warrior 3, and Paper Mario
Civ 2 is a great stratagy game and one of the best games ever made (hey pc gave it a 97, highest one they hade till the sequal Alpha Centarie came out) i have played this game for countless hours, leading many countrys to greatness and some to utter utter *not goodness* it had a huge veriaty of how to acheive your victory, and a lot of types of victory. I loved the scenarios, and the editer was easy to use so you could make your own ones. This is the best computer game EVER made, it blows anything out of the water. nothing can touch this on the computer.
Dragon Warrior3: It has a great story line, humer thrown in and though i think it could be a little more mature (*doody* american censures making it that way), though if i could find the origanal one translated it would probly be better. I loved the class system, and the monsters were fun. I really enjoyed how the large veriaty made you actually think a bit. This is a great great game, though ever dragon warrior i have ever played has been superiar this is the best (weeps thinking about next dragon warrior isnt coming to Nintendo)
Paper Mario: ahhh this was the best rpg to come out since the nintendo. I loved the jokes and the light story line. all the fun little extras you could do in the game, and your partners. It was a great game though may be knocked of by 2 i havnt decided. and no matter what any one says HUFF N PUFF IS THE HARDEST FRIKEN BOSS

so i guess its one of those three games. I have lots of other games i really like (tales of symponia, Bond games, Age of empires, Dot hack, and more) these three are the tops, though i havnt decided if Papar Mario will be replaced by Paper mario 2, it is a great game.
