Any one else not like Halo 2 or the new GTA
instead of doing this in the fan threads and getting attacked im am doing it here, so if you like the games dont post here attacking the ones who dont. We keep out of your happy little world of dillusion you stay out of ours (or mien if no one else besides me posts).
I have played a bit of both of these games at friends houses, and didnt like them. Whitch didnt surprise me since i didnt like the games they are sequalls of. They are both M rated games aimed at younge to mid teen boys. and i dont think very origanol or well done. Ill start with Halo 2, one i didnt really like the first halo. i had more fun on golden eye (golden eye is a really fun fps, my favorit) for the 64. this is the multiplayer im talking here. Halo whitch supposidly had the best multiplayer there is, or so say the xgeeks, i thought was boring and not very insightfull. There were not many guns, and the same stratigy could win you most games against other players because of this. The maps i thought were not very good, and well i got bored really fast, and on Tommarow never dies (i think it was the next bond fps on the 64) i still play multiplayer for hours cause it is so fun. Halo 2 dosnt look much better, now i have never tried xbox live, cause well i think blowing 30 bucks a month for something that should be free is stupid. The story line is utterly generic, really did they just sit down for five secounds or something to come up with that (i know it would take a bit longer then that). Any one who watches sci-fi or plays those type of fps and such have seen it a million times, Alians attack earth, geneticly engenerd super soilders shoots them all and saves it. Wow, i think i just saw a b rate movie from the 50's. Now i have not played the entire game, cause well i got bored with it, so maybe it is better then that, but if it cant hold my attention then that is what it is to me. (one of my friends and his brother baught three copys, they have one xbox, i think even if the game was good thats stupid) Not the new GTA, I thought GTA3 and vice were bad M rated games aimed at 14 year olds (never played GTA2 or GTA, though i dont think many of you have) i thought they wernt to fun, and well the story sucked, also for some reason the graphics botherd me, they looked really crappy (and i still play Tommarow never dies). The graphics thing i am pretty sure im am in a small minority with there, since the few friends i have who didnt like the game usually said "it looks pretty but...." (most of my friends liked this game). It was just going after teen aged fantisys of killing mass people with little conciquence (grabing a glowing badge in an ally or losing a small amount of cash is not a punishment) and getting with hookers. i may be wierd but that isnt my dream so i thought the game wasnt good at all. Well i will probly do something like this for Hl2 when it comes out, since i didnt like the first one (though i did like the multiplayer, especially with the Counter strike mod). So hopefully this one become a bunch of fans yelling at me, i am just wondering if any one else out there didnt like these game, maybe one who can type better then me. hahahah. |
i myself prefer other fps than halo but i haven't played the new one yet so i can't judge it. and as for san andreas the same although i did enjoy the previous games.

I personally got tired of GTA 3 about the same time I bought it, its fun for maybe a 1 night rental and not past that, Vice City got boring in 1 hour, I wont even TRY the new one. As for Halo II, everyone is happy about it, I am tired of trying to take that away from them, but hell will freeze over before I buy it, although I might not have a choice (AS A GIFT NOT FOR MYSELF!)
|
Really? I just played Halo 2 at my friend's hiuse and it was completly awesome. The graphics and gameplay were superb. We played it for about 10 hours straight on XBOX LIVE.
|
I liked Vice City better than the new one. But for Halo 2, I won't buy it (only because I don't have an X-Box) But it is an awsome game, not my 'OMG THIS IS TEH BEST GAME EVAR!!' game, but my 'This game is awsome' game.
Now if you excuse me, I'm go to my friends to play some Halo 2 online. |
well all of you people have overlookd a game that is out ONLY for the gamecube and is much more fun than Halo2 or GTA. and that game is MARIO POWER TENNIS! i mean this game is far more competitive in a party enviroment than halo and has 99.99% more mario as well. the choice is clear.
|
Mario Power Tennis is very fun, but I think Metroid Prime 2: Echos is going to kick all their asses!
|
Well it seems that the pro halo people couldnt keep there two sence out, at least they didnt flame. The gta'ers kept there peace.
I wont buy halo 2 (even if i had an utterly utterly *not good* system) cause well, it really dosnt look good. and all that seems may be fun is the multiplay on line, but it isnt as good as others ive played (even highly hyped games like unreal 2003 and Counter strike), and i am talking about other fps. they dont come close to a good rpg or stratagy game, cause well i like them better. but really why do people pay 30 bucks a month for live, Microsoft shouldnt be greedy *mean people* and give it for free. i dont know if sony charges |

As for me, I don't like sports game, strategy (ala Age of Empires, Advance Wars was very cool), and first person shooters (though Metroid Prime did a good job). Everything else works for me, especially RPGs and Adventure games. There are, of course exceptions to the rules, those are ground-breaking games, the ones that introduce new mechanics (sports do not do this... No wait, "NFL Blitz" did), so I do not judge a game for its cover, but for its content. XBox Live being a charged service, you really must have seen that comming. Microsoft is in for the money, and not only that, but they go to very expensive prices. I wouldn't mind if it were around twelve to fifteen dollares per month, like Final Fantasy XI does. |

On-Topic: I probably won't ever play GTA:SA, simply because I don't have a PS2. Halo 2, on the other hand, is very fun in multiplay, whether it be split-screen or system link (I haven't tried LIVE yet). The campaign could use some work (*coughcutsceneshackcough*), but I think it's great overall. |
