Zaus had planned to let the demon grab him so he could eletricute it, but the zealot managed to cut the arm apart. Instead, he electricuted his chain mail, just enough to produce a small amount of light, since the demon made darkness.

When the arms came out, Wen beat his wings and sailed backwards and up into the air, allowing the creatures second arm to shoot under him harmlessly as well as allowing Wen to watch. If there was one thing he had learned in six hundred and eighty four years, it was that demons were not always killable along the normal vein of attacks.

The creature's arms began to grow back almost immediately after the Zealot cut it, and, further, the stab into it's 'face' did nothing to distract nor harm the creature, as it's face grew back together, the darkness knitting back onto itself.

'It doesn't create darkness... it IS darkness...'

It was then that Wen noticed something in the chest of the creature, glimmering slightly amidst the shadows of it's body.

'There'

Wen swooped back down and aimed his hand at the creature, beginning to blast out water with pressure dwarfing that of a fire hose, directly toward the center piece of the creature. He doubted that water would destroy whatever that was, but at the very least he hoped to seperate it from the darkness of the creature's body or direct the other's attention toward it.

(OOC: I guessed the nature of it after Celes's posts and more or less confirmed that with her... so yah.)

"Hyagh!" Rabbit shouted as she darted out of the darkness of the cave and swung her great scythe. The attack was nothing short of perfect, with the tip of the scythe smacking right into the odd gem that was in the demon's chest. The gem rocketed out of the back of the demon and rebounded off the far wall. The demon whirled at Rabbit, knocking her hard against a nearby wall.

"Urk!" Rabbit coughed at the collision, and collapsed, slowly rising with the help of her Great Scythe. The gem came to a stop several yards away from the wall it hit, glowing with bright red light. "Someone go for that thing, already!"

Tyril whirled towards the gem, extending his arm and launching the dagger from it's wrist sheath, causing it to slam into the gem, sending tiny cracked veins throughout it.

Lunas didn't go for the gem. He went straight at the shadow part of the demon, and wasted no time in veritably ginsu-ing it with about five cuts clean through it.

As Wen barraged the dark demon with his water, the shadows were pushed back from the black sphere, as if they were being washed away. Lunas attacked the body, which quickly fixed itself, and Tyril then attacked the sphere, now that it was more open. As the sphere cracked, the demon hissed and jumped back, bringing his shadows back around the sphere protectively. "Damn you," He sneered, retreating back a bit into the mouth of his cave.

Tyril smiled, twirling his rapier in front of him, "Okay, Paige, Wen, whomever would like to smoke and/or wash out our demonic friend, feel free." He smirks a little, "Unless you'd like to chase him into his lair Lunas."

Lunas cut through the air and said, "Happilly."

He charged forward and unleashed a double stab straight at where the small shiny thing was.

Rabbit spurred herself into action, ignoring her protesting backside, closing up behind Lunas to provide support. "The demon's heart is most vulnerable when totally separate from his body. Either separate the heart from the body and I'll try to destroy it or vice versa. You're the unpredictable one so I'll let you decide my job." Rabbit said, and readied the Heavy Scythe.

OOC: yay being back! now for the in-game explanation of where I was since you all ignored me.

IC: Nighteyes and Dayfang stayed still, waiting for the demon to re-enter the cave, and as the demon came into range, Nighteyes sliced his axe straight through the demon's neck.

As the flesh re-formed around the wound, the demon turned around, ready to face this new attacker, and Dayfang sprung upon him, knocking the demon to it's side.

He was flung off, but now the demon had enemies on several sides.
