Alone in the Night: Chapter 1
 

The Elysium moved through hyperspace. The swirling mass of light, and radiation that was the most common interstellar highway. Using a beacon star to traverse the long strip of uninhabited worlds that the crew had claimed as their salvage yard.

The computer notified the crew that there was a magnetic disturbance near by which meant one thing, a failed gate attempt. A high possibility of wreckage. And wreckage means profit.

Stk was experiencing transcendental prayer when the signal sounded.

He knew he needed to take his position. He quikly changed out of his robes and put on his work suit. he scurried on all 6 legs over to his gun belts and put them around his torso. He left his tiny quarters and scurried along the wall toward the air lock near the hanger. He took off his gun belts and put on his space suit. He put the guns back on and entered the vacuum of the hanger. The airlock doors closing behind him. He scurried to his Turtle and climbed in. He powered it up and sealed the hatch. The cockpit pressurizing.

"Stk Uungk in position." He said over the com as he strapped him self in.

Dalana took her place in the Turtle's cockpit, readying the arms to sift through any debris that they found. "Delana Decan in position."

Sayre pushed himself away from the navigation controls and began to stroll towards the hangar. "You can handle everything ok without me Kar? I just gotta do somethings besides look at that map all day." The ratman explained. It was actually a combination of extreme boredom, playing second banana (or whatever crows ate) to the Tengu, and a longing to fight. While a skirmish was not guarunteed, it wasn't implausible.

He sidled up next to the closest Stingray, hopping in without inspecting anything. He hooked himself in then turned on his com. "Sayre ready to go, calling first dibs on any Stingray mods."

Grid'Jikt heard the signal, and started towards the turtles. When he got there, he saw that there were others already there. Seeing that things were taken care of, he made his way to the turrets. They had been fooled by pirates pretending to be derelict before, and he didn't want it to happen again.

Koel was allready near the fighters, so it didn't take him long to reach them. He got in to his and prepared him self for a possible fight. Fight's weren't that common in these salcage missions, but there's always the "What if this time?" So he had to be ready just in case. "Koel Kosikari reporting, in position."

Stk flipped on the com again "What do you think it is? 60 credits says it's a fat merchant vessal, hopefully it's not being picked over as we speak."

"The question isn't what have we found-" Aisei said, coming into the bridge, "It is weither what we have found is worth our journey."

She had been observing the stars when she heard the computer notify her of the chance for wreckage. She had slowly made her way to the bridge, feeling no real need to rush. Others got excited over a bit of wreckage, but Aisei prefered to take it slow and take in her surroundings as she went along, even if it was somewhere she had spend quite a long time on.

"Damned alarm, why does it got to be so damned loud. Do they think we are all death or are they trying to make us."
Pois continues to walk around the sick bay making sure everything was ready for what ever idiot got nailled by shrapnel or some other mistake. scratching his head he looks down the hall at all the people scuring around "maybe they will find a nice virul strain or some other fun things"

Stk clicked on the 2 way. "Hey Dalana, you think Karasu fell asleep at the wheel again?"

"It wouldn't surprise me....think you can wake him so we can get the show on the road? I'm getting bored waiting."
