the coolest badguy viedogame char
whats your fav badguy from any video game?
(this includes chars that start out as bad, then join you) |
Sephiroth is the coolest badass out there. I don't like Final Fantasy VII as much as I like the character itself.
I also like Gannondorf, since he was also so sly and precise about every move he did. |
Hmmm, I'm a fan of Leo from Lunar 2, he started off as the badguy but ended up joining you. I think he's awesome cause he's all about honour, its good to see badguys with some class.
Kefka is also a favourite of mine, pureeeely based on the laugh. and the dumbest one I can think of that is just pure awesome is the boss in super contra where you fight the 2 robots hanging from the ceiling and when you beat them the big guy rips open the walls and shoots fire and stuff, I swear they just have been on acid or something to think that stuff up hah it is one of my biggest video games memories. |
Kefka is the ultimate evil doer. For an explantion of why, see this similar thread: http://www.nuklearforums.com/showpo...6&postcount=37

Kefka, 100%. Honestly. ChaosMage said it better than I could, but I'll state my own opinion anyways.
All of the villains from other FF games (and most other games in general, actually) are Psycopaths. Did they do wrong? yup. Did they think they did wrong? Nope. They had a very distorted sense of right/wrong, and to them, everything they did was right. Kefka, on the other hand, did wrong because he WANTED to do wrong. He loved it. He loved knowing he had wiped out a village, or killed a bunch of orphans, or eaten babies, leaving only their feet, to be used as shoes. He was a Sociopath. Besides, Kefka just made you hate him. I can't think of a single reason, other than Square's awesome job with the character, why he should even be liked. He killed Gen. Leo (who is probably the coolest non-main character in any videogame, ever), a man who got Shadow's respect, which, if you've ever played FF6, you'll find is hard to earn. And, in one word, Doma. Play FF6 at least until the end of the World of Balance, and tell me again which is the best villain in an FF game, or just about any game! |
Sephiroth.
If you doubt it, I have four words for you: "Burning of Nibilhelm FMV". |
Luca Blight. Suikoden 2, like Kefka only meaner. Haha Pig.

Feel like I'm replying to a thread that's been done over and again, but anyways...
Lord Blazer, Wild Arms 2. I mean come on! He is the main source of your power, makes your main character the single most powerful character ever (Once you transform), and so throughout the entire game you rely on his great power to beat those bosses that are just too hard... And then at the end of the game, (Spoiler sort of)you have to fight him, alone. The music alone is enough, not to mention how friggin cool you look! And the power... Wow. Plus there is the fact that he isn't just some random guy trying to get power, or destroy everything, he fits perfectly with the premise of Filgaea and the demons. And being possesed by a demon is always cool. I liked Sephiroth, and loved Kefka, but... Final Battles? Well I guess Kefka had his tower of naked bodies, which was cool, and Sephiroth had the one on one thing, but that wasn't really a battle. *Charge limit* *Omnislash* *Over* Lord Blazer was the best. |
Blazer was cool, I liked Zeikfreid form Wild Arms one too. Especially Zeik Tuvai I mean after you thwart him the dude goes nutty and starts gunning for you.
Most villains are usually just fightingg back at this point I mean this guy wanted you dead BADLY. |
is this thread limited to consoles? If not, then I will have to say Jon Irenicus. Theres nothing sissy about him, he doesn't do what he does out of any warped sense of Nietzche philosophy, he does it for himself, for power both lost and never had. Furthermore, he's a character that is real easy to hate. You felt satisfied after defeating him and satisfied as you watched the ending. He would have been sympathetic would it not have been for the fact that he had tormented you for the entire game.
so my vote goes for Jon Irenicus. |
