DS in 4 days (this made on 11.17.04)
personally i cant wait. for many reasons.
1. First time a Nintendo system comes out in America first 2. Nintendo rules 3. Metroid hunters demo 4. Lots of great games 5. Fun to play on touch screen 6. its a better deal at 50 some bucks less then psp for a better system 7. Just so you know Nintendo rules yeah call me a fan boy i dont care. i own every gameboy and consal they released. (if you have a virtual boy for sale tell me, only one i dont got) and i will add this to my collection. so the count down stands at 4 days |
i agree
while i am more of a sony kinda guy, i think that nintendo is truly the best when it comes to handhelds. sony shoudl just stick to the counsels. i personnaly think the psp is gonna flop cuase its to expensive.

I heard that DS comes out at $149.99 and PSP (Not official, this is estimated) is at a steep $299.99. That's 150 bucks more.
And I had a question about Metroid Hunters. Is it just the multiplayer, or is there an actual story? And Nintendo does rule. And I cannot wait for the DS to come out. It is second on my Christmas list, only to Metroid Prime 2. |
I want this thing SOOOO bad but i will probably have to wait till Feburary to get it. (B-day). A new Advance Wars game, cant wait.

The hunter demo is i think (i read it in nintendo power 2 days ago but ive slept since then) is two levels and 3 multiplayer maps. Though they also said that only one of the maps will definetly be there, but the other two may not. though there will be many multiplayer maps. and hell there are going to be many more added. Wasnt there also going to be another game. i dont know, ive slept since then

The DS will be at 149.99 and the PSP is priced at 199.99. It isn't 300 bucks, just to let you know.
Anyway, this is going to be interesting. The DS definitely has all the advantages, such as being released RIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS. Plus cartridges, while not an advantage in the home cosole market, are necessary in the portable market. I'm not talking about disks breaking or not being read, I'm talking about game saves. If the PSP uses disks, which it is, then the consumer will be forced to buy memory cards for their friggin' portable. Worse off situation, sony will use this to push their Memory stick things which cost about 50 bucks for a stick of 32 megs (may be wrong, haven't been shopping for a while). The DS will be more instantly playable, and thats why it will take the lead. With sony's strong support though, the PSP isn't going to go away. I'd like both of them, but I'll buy the DS simply on cost and ease of use. Everything in box, no need to get extra stuff just to save. Theres my predictions, though i'm sure no one cares. |
2 Things that will push people to buy PSP:
1. the beautiful screen 2. It plays movies Now once they find out that they have to buy the movie in a different format so that the PSP will play it, it only has one reason to be bought, thus DS wins! |
I've dropped all of my prior priorities for this thing! I've saved up about $100 combining my previous funds. Because I don't have a job, though, my parents are letting me do a ton of chores for a bit more money than they're worth. Just $50 to go...
Can't wait! |

I'm taking the easy way out: Christmas List. :p That way I don't have to work my butt off to get it... just have to wait a little bit longer. I think my GB Adv. will hold me over until then.
