Max 300 (DDR)
I know there have been other DDR threads im sorry if this is to clsoe to the same topic, but I was wondering how many people can beat max 300, on any mode. I just got the game liek 2 weeks ago and have a crappy pad, but I ordered a metal one on ebay, caus eim just damn addicted to this game now, and I played max 300 23 times today and I finally beat it on light, and my legs are on fire and im drenched in sweat. Does anyone have any awesome accomplishes they can give me tips on? haha

Dude you cold have gone to the local EB games or Gamestop or whatever the game store is were you live and bought a simi-arcade pad. I dont have any accomplishments in the game but i do play it as much as i can just because its not a regular game. I think the other DDR threads have been locked.

I can beat Max300 on light and standard. Right now I have just beat Tsugaru, and am getting close to beating Exotic Ethnic (on heavy.) After I can beat EE, Max300 is my next target.
congradulations on beating Max300 on light, I remember when I did that. It was quite an accomplishment. |
Tortured one, do you ever use training mode? because right now im trying to do healing vision on standard and I went at it for about an hour tongiht and got no where so I tried training mode and I think it helped a bit, do you recommend it to learn the harder songs?

traning mode may work for some people but not me. If it works for you use it anything to get you to the skill that you want.

Anyway, yeah, I'm not much of a DDR master, but I've been playing for a while and I'm pretty sure that max 300 is off limits for me. There is only so much weird flailing that one nerd can take before his heart explodes. And training mode can help sometimes, because it gets you acquanted with the beat and you can get through the entire thing even if you're sucking. Very, very usefull, though I barely use it. |
I dont use traning mode at all and im pretty good at the game. Anyways no I havent beat Max300 I have never tried and right now I can do one heavy mode song and is A.

"IM Gonna show you how to BURN!"
My highest accomplishments are AAA on "lets Groove" on Standard, being able to beat every song that is nine feet or lower (including Max 300 on standard), and i've beaten Sakura on heavy once. Sakura is the easyist Ten foot song though. All though have been playing for three years and my pad is litterally bullet proof... i mean it I can play with GUNS :D ! It's the Cobalt Flux, it has it's own web site and is 300 Dollars. I love DDR but anyone who sez knee-drops are cool is gay. As for getting better at songs, if you want to be good at a specific song then go for training, otherwise I suggest using Oni courses to increase your acuracy and Non-Stop mode for your "what-ever-the-heck-you-call-being-able-to-move-for-a-long-time", duribility is that it? The problem with Max 300 is that it is fast. HELLA-FAST. seriously try playing the hardest "paranoia" song you can do with weighted shoes. Then do that for a week or two. after a while your feet will be able to move A LOT faster. then watch a video of some one playing and beating the song so you can get the rythem of the steps. trust me there is a pattern to them. Then play the Max 300 a lot at home with the perfect window decreased (arcade machines have a tiny perfect window compared to home ones). Lastly, but most importantly, go to the mall, and bust a move.

?
Me BEATING the song isn't an accomplishment I know, but the fact I AAA'd it is the awesome part, which means I only got Perfects and nothing else, no goods or greats or anything else. I have no idea of the song Maximizer, i've never heard of it. but I have been able to get a well rounded B on Burning Heat on Heavy mode (WooHoo for Gradius 3). :D
