As long as it's in a duel, can you hurt the other guy as much as you want without it being illegal?

I would think that after the first hit its over, although a death fight sounds pretty open ended brutal.

Depends on terms of the duel.

Show me your stance = no blows exchanged
First blow = first to hit wins
First blood = first to draw blood wins
Death = obvious

What determines stance? The skill plus its required ring? Although, it doesn't really matter for me, unless Matt can get into a shooting match.

Do grabs and trapping weapons not count as blows?

Disarms are victory and any further attack is considered dishonorable.

What are some possible/reasonable ways to 'audition' when your an archer? Duels are out, and the only idea I have is shooting a bird out of the sky or something equally inane.

There are archers duels, namely for accuracy and range.

Spiffy, I'm hoping it's ok if I just create a random Wasp to 'battle' right? And is betting a dishonorable action?
