What are you thankful for?

In this time of year, it's a good idea to remember that the holiday is called 'Thanksgiving' for a reason, folks. I figured I'd make a thread for things that I'm thankful for, and see what everyone else is thankful for, as well.

I'm thankful for my family, for remaining close-knit despite the loss of loved ones; for those that have helped me get past all of the dark times in these past few months, especially Qeeko, BMG!, and Thaum. Lastly, I'm thankful for NPF, for I wouldn't have met such good friends, I'd probably be down a lot more, and I wouldn't have discovered that I can do poetry if I hadn't come to this place. ^^

So, what are you all thankful for?

I'm thankful that I am still young, and have time to remedy my mistakes. I'm thankful for the really cool things that happen every now and again, and I'm thankful for the personal connections I've made throughout my life, those few people who I actually got to know. I'm thankful for the future, and its possibilities.

I am also thankful for orange juice, there is like a gallon of deliciousness in every drop!

I'm thankful for music. I'm thankful for colors. I'm thankful for flowers. I'm thankful for snow, and for the sun. I'm thankful for Dark Winter nights, and Bright Summer days, Windy fall afternoons, and dew covered Spring mornings. I'm thankful that my friends feel that they can confide in me, even though it makes both of us cry. I'm thankful that I can also confide in them.

I'm thankful that when I was in school, most of the time I had nice teachers. Without them I wouldn't have made it out as the happy person I am now. I'm thankful that I could take two months and go visit my sister and her two kids. I'm also thankful that it is only two months, and I get to go home in three weeks. I'm thankful that when I get home, I already have something planned for every day until school starts, whether it be watching a movie with a close friend, going out to dinner with all my friends, or watching a Lord of the Rings marathon (All three extended!) with a group of my best friends.

I'm thankful for love. Even though it often gets me confused, it inspires me to write poetry. I'm thankful for long conversations I've had in the past few weeks about love, that have caused me to come to some profound realizations.

I'm thankful for life. I love so many things and people. Without them, I'd be nothing.

Friends and family really. Everything else is just icing on the cake, it'll be there regardless of if I am or not.

I'm thankful for my best friend, Meghan. Who's always there for me. I'm thankful for all my other friends who have helped me and stood by me. I'm thankful for my family who have taken care of me and kept me safe. I'm thankful for rain, because I love it. I'm thankful for food, i'm really hungry right now and can't wait until dinner. I'm thankful Dan is coming home today.

I'm thankful for my parents who, even if they are somewhat strict, can be really cool once in a while.

I'm thankful for my little sister, because even though she does drive me up and down every wall, ceiling and floor in my house, she is funny, cute, and fun to be with.

I'm also thankful for my friends, who are fun, insane, and are always willing to help either me or another of our friends whenever they need assistance.

I could go on, but I think these are the most important things that I think of when considering what I am grateful for.

I'm thankful that my mother has a $95,000 life insurance policy and is mortal.

No, seriously though, I'm thankful for a lot of things. Most of them, however, are extremely simple things. Things like snow storms, the way food tastes, smells, and feels, etc. etc.

Mostly I'm just thankful that I'm human and capable of the whole human range of experiences, from the most beautiful and wonderful, to the most completely painful, which, in their perfect pain, also have a kind of beauty.

i am thankful for my successful first semester in college, my initiation into a professional fraternity, my groups of new friends i've made, my new job, all the experience i've gained in terms of everything, and the general welfare of everyone i know.

In a word, life.

In more words, my family, my friends, school, my computer (XD), living in the country, music, books, and I could go on...
