which is better...Halo, or Halo2?
 

some people have different perspectives so im just wondering...which is the better one Halo or Halo2? :wmage:

Okay, okay, just messing with ya.

Halo 2 overall, in my opinion. I had a little more fun with the campaign stages in the first Halo, so that's something I think should be worked on. (I felt really boxed in) But yeah...Halo 2, overall, like I said.

I'm starting to think Halo. The dual-weilding in 2 can be both shit and awesome. Dualing SMGs never seems to work on Elites in the campaign as well as it does in PVP. That, and the fact that everyone rips everyone else up with dual SMGs online gets really fuggin frustrating. The campaign was just blah compared to Halo.

About the only thing that gives Halo 2 the edge is Xbox Live, which is hella fun.

well...i only got to play a little of Halo 2 at my friends house...and i used to have Halo on my X-Box and it got stolen :(

Overall, I'd say Halo 2. They left most things the same, but added a few things.

1. They made the life system more realistic. They made the shields more powerful and did away with the physical life bar in favor of a "body hits are fatal" philosophy that real soldiers have to deal with.

2. They added guns for the Covenant and they improved the AR, making it into the battle rifel, and the pistol, making it more powerful and less acurate.

3. They added the duel weild feature. The best combonation is not dual SMGs but one SMG and some kind of plasma weapon. The plasma weapons are very good at reducing shields and the SMG tears away at health.

or more to the point, care to read the rules? Please do not post spam in these forums, not only will it earn you the ire of the mods, but most of the forumites don't like it either.

on topic: I've only ever played Halo 2 (yes, I do live in a cave, or rather a ship) and I think its a very good game. Master chief does not mess around, and multiplayer is one of the funnest experiences I've ever had with a video game. Considering that they most likely made improvements to the multiplayer format from 1 to 2, I'd probably say I like 2 better.

Thanks for mentioning it. It's true, and doubly so in a thread where spamminess galores anyway. Hint hint.

I enjoyed Halo 2 more. Being able to take vehicles, dual weilding, the new guns, the new levels, multiplayer... so much better, I think that they improved on the whole thing, overall, a very good game.
