The bamboo parted as a Large Ogre emerged from it. He growled and raised a Tree trunk he had wrapped iron bands around. The ogres tusks and horns were large and cruely sharp. It had murder in it's eyes. It slammed the club on the ground causing the ground to crack and shake.

ooc: Here's the combat round. This is the order in which you can post an attack. The round is approximately 2-5 seconds in length. Now this means you can't make a post. It just means you can't post an attack, or something more complex than assuming a stance, a brief shouted message, or drawing your weapon. when it's your turn you need to declare either, full attack, attack, or Full defense (only if you have defense skill.) Full attack reduces your TN to be hit to 5, but gives you 2 more attack dice. Full defense gives up your attack, but boosts your Tn massively, depending on defense skill.

Matt's bow had been at the ready since the noises had started, and without thinking (Well, the thought of Damn thats a lot of iron had flashed across his mind) reached for a Ya.

Benitora took a step back as the giant monstrosity crashed through the woods. Shizune opened her eyes, blinked and screamed as it loomed before them.

"Shizune!"

She kept screaming.

"Shizune, hold on tight!"

There was no moment of prescience for him, no sudden realization of the proper strategy to use, no burst of supernatural skill and dexterity. There was only the half-conscious memory of the proper kata, and a flash of words (were they even words? or just impressions of words?) across his mind.

As the ogre reared back to smash them, Benitora jammed one point of the mancatcher into a sturdy oak as the trunk-club neared it at the end of it's backwards journey, then neatly tucked the sasumata's butt under his foot, as though setting for a charge.

The ogre swung. Benitora thrust his mancatcher forward, supporting it with his foot and using the tree he had hooked it to as leverage to turn the huge club off-axis.. The huge creature's grip didn't hold against the unexpected resistance, and it was surprised to see only its hand fly forward. Benitora grinned, then backed off, going low into a half-crouch, sasumata ready to pierce.

(ooc: You rolled to disarm, not attack dante. please edit that a little. IHMN you are up.)

Zenko had no chance against an orge unarmed, so he moved back and defending himself, incase he was the Orge's target.

OOCL Lazyman you're up

With a quick thought and a flick of his wrist, Hideki brought his sword out into the air, ready to strike. He ran as quick as he could up to the beast and brought his sword towards its leg with a horizontal slash. It was strong, but not enough to do significant damage, only getting deep into its thick hide. He moved away quickly, the blow only managing to attract the ogre's attention.

(OOC: 17+14+9+9=49 Hit. Damage 13+9= 22)

Matt quickly drew the bow as the father rushed in, throwing the trunk away. As the line passed his ear Hideki slashed the ogre causing it to roar in rage.

For a split second the ogre's eyes met Matt's, and in that moment he released his arrow. Matt had always envisioned each of his arrows as being crafted from the horn of a Unicorn, and if that had been the case this horn would have been mounted on the greatest beast ever.

A clean release and the ogre spasmed, reaching for his eye, which now had grown a long wooden shaft from the pupil. It stood there as cold ichor dripped from its newest wound.

The Ogre growled and attempted to smash Hideki into the ground with his fist. But the nimble duelist. His fist cooking up dust.

"FOOL OGRE! DIE!" Sanjuro yelled. (full attack 9x3= 27 hit damage 17+8=27 fatal wound) And lashed the weighted chain around the ogre's neck. He pulled tight shutting off the ogre's wind pipe and snapping the spine. The ogre fell dead sending up dust. Sanjuro unwound the chain from around the twitching ogre's neck. He looked at the rest of his companions.

"That went well I think."
