Vana'diel on PS2
 

Anyone else here sick of Sony delaying it? I COULD get it for PC, but

1) My PC isn't good enough
2) I prefer playing on my PS2.

I know what the delays are and Sony is actually brilliant for it, but still. Money making hosers... I wanna play FF 11 on PS2 NOW!!! >.< :rmage:

Oi...but It'll be so expensive..I just paid to have my pc upgraded for FFXI...PS2 would break my heart and my wallet -_-

FFXI for PS2 will be very difficult to play.
I have had FFXI since the day it was first shipped for public play, it uses so many keyboard commands, i dont see how anyone can actually play it on the PS2 controller without the usb keyboard........ It is a great game tho, so BUY IT!!!!! I will never think of touching Everquest again now that I have FFXI. ALL BOW DOWN TO THE MEGA POWERS OF SQUARE ENIX!!!

I plan on having it for PS2 as well, and can hardly contain myself as I wait. I will be using the keyboard as opposed to the controller, since I'm used to the keyboard (I played on the Beta of FFXI) I would have continued to play on the computer but
1. I wasn't even on my comp. I had to use my fiancee's cause mine didn't have enough memory for the whole 7 GIGS. And it STILL doesn't. e.e; Damn all my anime episodes.
2. It IS a bit expensive. And seeing as how we just had to move for his job (he's the new manager of a video game store ^-^) there was no real way for us to pay for the move and that month's pay for playing.
So, I await the PS2 version along with everyone else. It's kinda weird though that they will be having the same servers with the PC version, so you can play with people that are using the PC instead of PS2.
As far as I know on release date (since my fiancee deals with that sort of thing every day) I know that it's due out sometime in January. I can't remember the exact date... have to ask him when he gets home from work today.

Oh I fully intend to get a USB keyboard for my PS2, but I'm still gonna use the Controller for as many functions as I can (comfortably) like moving around. btw, I'm gonna a hume :rmage: in bastok ;)

The game should be fully playable on the PS2. I have the PC version and I play it using a PS2 controller (I have the adapter) and I find that the only reason I have to go to the keyboard is for chatting with people.

I'm holding out for the PS2 version, though the fact that it comes with the HDD was a big influence on that decision. Only a few more months, providing there are no more delays. It's currently scheduled for March 25th.

I really envy you guys. I'll probably never play it due to my negative cash-flow, lack of adaquate internet in the area and my non-existential optimum PC. You better apprieciate what you have, you worthless ingrates! :bmage:

garrr... all you ppl out there who arent in school, who have a "job." im stuck at home and parents wont use their credit card to pay the monthly fee, even if i offer to pay them back, so im outta luck. o wells, in a few years, i guess

I'm happy with it on the compy :) For all of you considering buying it for the PS2, how much extra is the 40 gig HD going to cost?
