16-bit grudge match
 

who do you think would win in a fight: Megaman X (from the game of the same name), or Samus Aran (of Super Metroid).

both depend on thier high technology gear, thier arm-cannons in particular, both can wall jump, speed dash, and modify thier weaponry as needed.

thoughts?

I think Samus Aran. Her Varia Suit is immune to extreme temperatures so Mega Man loses some of his weapons there, and then she could use freeze beam and super missles to finish him off.

The alternative is she could lure him onto a spike, instantly winning the battle...

Samus, because she seems more agile and mobile.

Is it X just from Megaman X, or from all the X games?

I don't care who you are; 20+ Super Missiles hurt.

It's be funny if the both charged up full and blew the crap outa each other.

If both were fully upgraded, then X would win. If Samus were firing super missiles at him, then he could just charge up the roll shield and be protected, Samus's missiles don't track their target like X's do, so she'd always get hit, whereas X has a chance to dodge. As far as charged blasts go, I think they're about equal there. Samsu can jump higher, and fly, but X can counter that with the storm tornado if she gets above him, or again, his missiles. He could also just go stealth and beat the crap out of her. And if all else fails he can hadoken her into the grave.

Let's not forget the strength that is the Screw Attack. Impervious to most, if not all attacks.

The range of Samus' Beam can blast X into robotic dust. Because if you know the story behind X, he'll be afraid to fight her. But Zero and Samus, that'll be a cool fight.

If he had to, X would fight and beat Samus

Now Samus vs Zero, it's Zero hands down
