New X-Men Xorn or not to Xorn?

For whatever reason I just got about 5 people really into the the NEW X-men by Morrison and several artists.

I think its about the best X-men comics there have very been

BUt the issue with Xorn ending up being Magneto was argued about, it seemed that everyone liked Xorn but hated him ending up being Magneto, while I loved it... anyway.

I haven't really bothered to keep up with the newer X-men series with the buffy guy writting, but I heard that Xorn is back and I ask anyone with the knowledge.

What the Fuck? Seriously how is that possible?

Mr. Wind-Up Bird 12-06-2004 07:11 AM

Xorn isn't back and a lot of stuff Morrison did in that arc is total bullshit. It's well written, sure, but stuff like secondary mutations and bringing Magneto back is a bunch of crap.

Astonishing X-Men by Joss Wheldon blows Morrison's New X-Men out of the water.

I do believe Xorn IS back. I just read the new issue of X-mannen (A Dutch X-men magazine) where Xorn is found in China, where he sucked an entire town/temple insinde his head. And I do believe, this it is the real Xorn, seeing as they said that Xorn has been locked away there since he was born.

Thank you for your cooperation. Have a nice day.

Why would a duch x-men comic have something in it that's not over here? I read Uncanny and Astonishing and Xorn is gone.

Perhaps we suffer a delay? I'm just saying that here, Xorn is back.

Until I see some proof, I don't believe you.

I will now be quoting a Dutch website (www.weeklydose.com) (translated)

X-Mannen 268:
"In China, the X-men meet a man who looks a lot like their former team-mate Xorn. Because he is bending the Earth's magnetic field they decide to take him along, but then they face the Eight Immortals. Blablabla yackety schmackety.(<---Non-relevant text)"

X-Mannen 269:
"While Xorn continues to suck everything up as a black hole, the X-men try to search for a solution. Help arrives from an unexpected angle, even though tension inside the team is still there. Blablabla yackety schmackety (see "X-mannen 268")"

There are no x-men comics currently out with those numbers. Uncanny is at 453. I don't think that X-Mannen is in the same continunity as the US version.

Melfice 12-07-2004 10:21 AM

I forgot to mention X-mannen is a sort of collection magazine in which we can read two series.

I believe we now read New X-Men and Astonishing, though I'm not sure.
So, yeah. We're now reading #269.

robertvt 12-09-2004 10:21 AM

yeah, two stories are put into one over here.

I guess it seels better that way or whatever, I really don't know.
