What is your ownage?

I figured that at least one person here might care about this.

1) I do not see what this has to do with video games. Therefore it shall probably be moved.
2) If I am wrong and this HAS something to do with videogames, consider this my apology.
3) Care to explain what it is about?

LordTobias 12-06-2004 01:18 PM

Uh, yeah, now would be a damn good time to explain just what the frig this is, ghen. Probably, to everyone else who may read this, just another one of those new jerks who don't pay any mind whatsoever to the rules page to provide the rest of us with convenience. Omg!!!!!1one111!!!eleventyone

Yeah, they get annoying. Really fast, too. I hope he gets banned. Kinda tired of seeing these spammers in the video games forum. This is like...the 6th or 7th one in the past couple weeks.

Come on, it's obviously a set of rules to determine how much, exactly, you do 0wn when you say you 0wn. It's either brilliant or pathetic, I haven't decided yet.

Video Games it isn't though. Over to Off Topic with you, beast!

LordTobias 12-06-2004 01:40 PM

Oh, I know that Meister. Judging from the post, though, he's acting exactly like the other spammers recently. Funny, yes, even brilliant, but to go so simply in the VIDEO GAMES section?...ah well, at least it has some placement since you moved it. har har.

ghen 12-06-2004 09:48 PM

First off, i figured that most of you would know what ownage was in the first place, and what it has to do with video games, i figured it belonged in that section because that is where the most would understand it. But since my placement was obviously wrong, thank you for moving it.

Secondly i am not spamming, i am simply trying to figure out what some people think of this and whether or not to continue with it.

Third, I have read the rules, and i did not see anything prohibiting this, my apologies if i missed something, and if i did, please point it out.

Fourth, is this how you normally greet new people the the forums? If so, thanks in advance.

Finally, to explain what this is (i thought the site did a good enough job of this), this is a set of rules guiding how much ownage you have in real life, including clauses ranging from how much of a shift in ownage something is considered to how to handle disagreeing parties, if you read it, most everything is self explanatory, if not, tell me.

What I'm wondering is why anyone should go through the trouble of keeping track of their ownage, or lack thereof. All I'm saying is that you own when you can and avoid owning when it presents itself against you. Personally, I would think that anyone who actually uses an owning system is owned by his own geekiness factor. Make with the ownage, but don't let the ownage own you.

No, normally new people to the forums post on the introductions thread, and thereafter receive pleasant greetings/salutations, but since you failed to do that, you have to take whatever you get.

Which tends to consist of a brutal stabbing, being painted red, a glomping by a well-endowed anime chick, or any other wacky or bizarre happening.

Aeria 12-07-2004 10:50 AM

And although the glomping sounds scary, it can be quite enjoyable, or so I've heard. Just avoid the double-glomps...

And besides, there are alot of people who make an account, and make two or three spam posts before they're never heard from again. Taking the time to post in the introductions thread lets us know you're 'serious' about being here (If you can call being here serious), and not just some fleshy-spam-bot.

Ownage? I have massive ownage, but I've never felt the need to quantify it. I've just always known it was there, and I've never met a person who could challenge it. Until that day comes... Or until a time comes when I'm really bored... I need not calculate it.
