Movie Buzz/Anticipation

Well, with December comes the Official Oscar Buzz Race in Hollywood, and now all the primo movies of the year are in full force. What are you looking forward to seeing?

I'm waiting for Life Aquatic, the movie where Bill Murray plays a oceanographer who wants to kill the shark that killed his best friend. Looks like a veritable hoot.

Bill Murray is pretty consistently funny, and has a rockin' last name too.

Murrays are better than any number of anything elses.

My official opinion is a resounding, unyeilding, firm "meh."

But I saw my three movies this year, and next year is filled, so my opinion is negligible at best.

I don't understand what makes people think Bill Murray is funny? Other than caddy shack, what has he done? And he always looks like a washed up alcoholic. Maybe I am missing other good titles he was in. I like ground hog's day but there weren't any laughs there either.

I'm not really looking forward to any of them, but then again, the last movie I saw in theaters was "The Passion." I don't go to the theaters much.

You can also throw in:
The Sweet Spot
Garfield the Movie
Charlie's Angels (but he does get credit for learning from his mistake and not doing the second one)
Scout's Honor

Consistent? I think not.

But he does make up for it through Caddyshack, Rushmore, "The Whipmaster Skit" on SNL (One of the three best skits ever), and more.

Lost in Translation. Not funny, but nonetheless. Oh, and Ghostbusters.

I'm rather looking forward to Sin City and the Tim Burton version of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Batman Begins doesn't look too bad either.

If they ever get around to making Preacher, Watchmen and Good Omens, those are big on my list too.

Yeah, of course I wrote 'Sim City' first.

I've enjoyed Bill Murray's movies over the years. Hell, I thought GHD was a great movie. Scrooged was terrific, GhostBusters, Lost In Translation(while not terribly funny, it was an excellent piece of work).

I, for one, am looking forward to Life Aquatic.

I, for one, am so out in the dark in regards to movies it isn't even funny. Before I relied on TV and Previews within movies to inform me of future titles... But for the last two months I have been without any sort of TV, and I don't even know if this town has a movie theatre.

That said, I am looking forward to the LotR Extended Return of the King (Have been since I heard they were making them, years ago!) and... That's... All I know of. I feel so archaic and uninformed.

Still waiting for the Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy to come out this summer.

I might catch Blade Trinity, because nearly mindless blood and gore is always good.

Other than that I'm not that hyped up about anything.
