Warning Forever (continued)

It seems the last Warning Forever thread was getting a tad on the too long side of things, and as far as I can tell nobody has started a new one, so poof, here it is.

I just learned about this game less than 10 minuets ago, I played one game of it, and Im hooked. Here I thought I would be asleep within the hour, silly me.

First attempt:

Score: 5,345,500
Stage: 11
Deaths: 8
Time: 5:32:00

Also: is it just me or is the clip that plays if you let it sit video of your own playing?

C-dog 12-07-2004 11:04 AM

I think you're right. The game records as you play so you can replay it later (from the main menu). It probalby just goes through the replays if you let it sit.

English patch. Read the readme for the patch! It's a little more complicated to apply than other patches.

Meister 12-07-2004 12:50 PM

Oh yeah, my mistake. The link to the patch is on the game's site.

Welcome to the forum, Righteous Heretic, your avatar kicks ass.

Which leads into my question. I've got all the stuff (wf.exe.ips and data.bin.ips) and the decombiner and recombiner from the site in the readme file, but try as I might, I have no idea what I'm doing.

How do you put the patch on the game?

Elminster_Amaur 12-07-2004 01:54 PM

Open the combiner, then it'll allow you to select a .ips file. Once you select it, another browse screen will open, change it from Roms to All Files, and then select the matching file.(i.e: wf.exe for wf.exe.ips)

Ralvuimago 12-07-2004 02:15 PM

Hmm, even stranger. Are you using the LIPS thing? When I set the wf.exe.isp to wf.exe, the name is still in Japanese. If I combine the data.bin.isp to the data.bin, the game stops working completely and an error message shows up.

I hate computers and they hate me.

Did you do it in the order the instructions said to? I'm not sure, but it might matter.

Well I'll be. That got it. Thanks for the help, man.

Np. That's what a resident, jack-ass, sage does. It's more for the sheer enjoyment of knowing I know more than everyone, so sharing a bit I'm unsure of can often gain me more knowledge.

Righteous Heretic 12-07-2004 10:23 PM

Thanks for the patch advise, I hadnt tried yet but I would have had no idea what was going on.

Meister: Thanks for the welcoming. Your avatar is pretty rockin' as well (pun intended) ::throws up the horns::
