The first time I say that word was the episode where Red Mage using it to refer to his intellect (and another character - BM I think - mocking him). Anyway, noticed its the new buzzword on The Screen Savers on G4TechTV.

Kinda cool - figured I'd mention it.

Really? I only found 217. Maybe you typed it in wrong, or pressed the Enormous search button. Anyways, I've heard that word once or twice too.

Ginormous is a funny word, I heard it said quite a few times before, just saying it's bigger than big. Giant + Enormous = Ginormous.

Hehe.. Ginormous. I got to use that word at least 5 times tomarrow in everyday conversation.

I've been using that word since 8th grade. Nothing new.

Ok, none of us made a mistake. I was looking in images and you (Continuum) were looking on normal. And, its actually (for word) 33,400. Wow. Although only like 50 of them have anything to do with Ginormus.

Everything will be okay if you admit that you used Google Image-Search by accident when you should have used word search.

You, Oh mighty and great Contiuum, are not at fault and should be praised and bathed in beauty and devotion. Also, alot (I mean scary alot, counting the hundreds and hundreds of people) of kids at my school have been using Ginormus lately. Even my science teacher is using it. It's like some virus festering in the school. Soon the principal will be using it. Maybe even the morning anoucements. Scary.

I blame the "sudden-awareness" syndrome. When you notice a word or action gets more and more use simply because there's a catalizer that triggered your particular attention or the collective attention towards it.

Amazing that not even one link on google for "ginormous" on the first page was for a porn-site or Viagra-advertisement...

Anyway, seeing as I'm from the Netherlands you don't hear many of those words...

Yep, I learned a bunch of words I had never heard of before in Political Science and started hearing them every time I turned on the news. I was all like "hey I are teh smart!"

Sounds similar to the way the word ridonculous is spreading. I'm not exactly sure on the derivation of that word, but it means really ridiculous. That word hasn't spread as much as ginormous, but it's getting there.

Another word spreading around my friend's school is blumb. It's dumb, because it mans dumb. But come on, blumb. That has got to be the lamest word invented in all of the history of english. On top of that, my friend uses it too. Which is really annoying. "Man, that is soooooooooo friggin blumb", or "Yo man, dis test is blumb'.

I personally find supercalfragilisticexpialidocious to be far more annoying than blumb.

Yeah, but he now uses it in almost every sentance. And other people use it too. This is all the Animal lovers fault. They huddle around during lunch and come up with words like blumb, reharted, deslavencho (whatever the hell that means) and other crap. Now more people are doing it. Soon, the whole school will be infested and no normality will be safe. That really sucks. Also, did you know that some african language has like 267 (I think) letters in its alphabet. That must be harsh to recite it. I wonder what the longest word in the history of all words of all languages of the universe.

Not as scary as the fact japanese has around 10,000 kanji, 4,000 of which are 'required knowledge' as well as three seperate writing systems, the kana ones (hiragana and katakana) each having 46 symbols, with 25 of those having a seperate form with the addition of ", and each kanji having a minimum two pronounciations and meanings.

On top of probbaly posting the longest word on this site I will now put the longest palindrome. HA HA HA. I bet no one can figure out how many words are in it. It's so big, to count it would take over a day and so I cant post it. Hint: Made in Nov. 2003 by some guy (if you're smart enough, you'll find out).

You know why www.google.com made that name? Google is a number containing 100 zeros preceading a one. The largest word I know... 999 Google.
