Well, I think PhantomFox's point was that BM acknowleged that something would be "sicko" at all, indicating he does have some concept of right and wrong.

Actually, he said this himself:

:bmage:: Hey, I know the difference between right and wrong. I simply don't care.

And there it goes.............Off to the pit of "Fat chance".

I might have laughed at this one if I wasin't a romantic. :P

Tis' a curse I must bear alone....

It was still a funny strip though......

There's still the possibility of BM's turning right around and passing this off as another example of his peculiar brand of Tourette's. "I can't help saying stupid things like that. I'm supposed to be evil, and what could be more evil than sacrificing innocent children? Once again my mouth shot me in the foot."

BM can screw with WM's mind, if no other part of her.

Clayton_n 12-09-2004 03:38 PM

Personally I see several possibilities.

A: White mage is in love with him, but sickened by him at the same time and goes off to cry

B: She thinks she can change him

C: She accepts him for who he is as the one piece of love in his heart does seem to belong to her

D: She turns evil

E: She makes an anti-hidoken. THat or it turns out that Blackmage was deceived about the source of his power

F: Blackmage just blew his only shot. From this point on I suggest he work on mentally subjugating her as a love slave

Has anyone here read the Dragonlance series "Time/War/Test of the Twins"? Raistlin Magere, Blackest of all Black Mages, and Crysiana, Purest of all the Clerics of Paladine, seemed to have a thing despite the obvious difference in background. All I'm saying is that it's possible (however remote) for WM and BM to have feelings for eachother, and still follow their respective paths.

MFD 12-09-2004 03:45 PM

No, it's not. BM would have to sacrifice his evil ways and turn to the path of good, or convince WM to not care.

Neither of which wil happen.

Righteous Heretic 12-09-2004 03:48 PM

Anyone ever consider that BM knew his only shot was blown a long long long time ago, and this is just him being even more evil by toying with WM's head? What better way to crush her ideals then to make her think that maybe he isnt just a vile horrible person, maybe there is some good in him and he can be saved, but then going straight back to being as horrible as ever. She will be forced to consider whether he is actually evil, or if he really does have good deep down and just doesnt know how to express it. Let us never forget the fun and potency of some good psychological destruction. BM could very well be giggleing in his head right now just as much as he did out loud when he sacrificed those children.

[edit]: Heavy 3PO: Thats because Raistlin is a master of the psyche. Its been a while since I read them, but as I recall he was playing her the whole time.

Well, Shiney, I accept your challenge, and I have found a total of 1 actions fitting that description. See, Lord of Hell, though evil he may be, couldn't bear to tell fighter the reality of his nature. This obviously didn't stem from a mortal need to have fighter in front of him in fights, because BM was Lord of Hell at the time, and had no fears what so ever. Hell, telling fighter would have benifited BM moreso than not, because fighter would have no longer felt the need to bug BM about stuff.

Well, do I get a prize, or what?
