... but it's not set on Mars and doesn't feature space marines or hell demons. So I guess it's going to be based on Doom in the same way that Schindler's List was based on The Brady Bunch. Peachy.

From what I've heard, though, the bastardization is even worse-appearantly, "BFG" stands for "Bio-Force Gun!"

It...doesn't sound bad, I guess. I dunno why it's considered to be Doom, though. With just a little plot change, you could just as easily make it the sequel to Starship Troopers or something.

That's what scares me.

I'm willing to bet this guy has no idea that Doom is a video game. He sure as hell doesn't know that Resident Evil is a game.

Hell he doesn't look at a good 1/4ths of the horror section in his Blockbuster. Come on. Secret virus turning into zombies? Hello? that's like half the zombie movies made!

IMDB claims the movie will be set on Phobos, which is what I remember from the first Doom game. These monsters could still be demons!

It really is sad that the movie studios have to warp the movie in order to appease the Mothers of America. And God forbid if anyone drops the F-Bomb in a movie. *Rolls eyes*

If anything, the fbomb has been thrown around more now than ever before. It used to be that the f-word was instant rated "R", more and more it's being used in "PG-13" movies. May I site "The Chronicles of Riddick", "Aliens vs. Predator" as recent examples, and "Behind Enemy Lines" as the uber-example.

I was being sarcastic, hence the rolling of the eyes. ;o)

It's also starring The Rock, so yes it's going to be awful. But consider this, Uwe Boll is making the following:

Bloodrayne
Far Cry
Alone in the Dark

The Doom movie is going to be bad, yes. But at least it's not directed by Uwe Boll.
