War of the Worlds: the movie

I ckecked Game Revolution today and found an ad for a new film based on the H.G. Wells book, War of the Worlds. Starring...Tom Cruise. I don't imagine him as a killjoy anymore, but him and Steven Spielberg make a good team. You'll remember the last movie they made together was Minority Report, which I enjoyed. Hope they don't ruin it.

You can find the teaser here: http://www.waroftheworlds.com/

Looks kinda good actually. I wonder if its gonna end like the original, the aliens catching human virus's and dying. which is stupid when you think about it cause they're inside huge friggin sealed spaceships. But I guess that just ruined it for everybody. O well, not my fault. If you read past ''end like the original'' than I didnt spoil it.

I thought the monologue at the end of the original was pretty cool. And I am by no means a religious man. Anyone else think likewise?

That ending made more sense in the book...

I still hope it follows the book more than that other movie did [the book wasn't so religious, if I remember correctly], while I didn't see the trailer yet. Plus, I love the poster art.

That is all.

Hey. Jackass. Not marking a spoiler by mistake is one thing, realizing you posted one and gloating about it is quite another, one that gets you official warnings.

I was scared at first, untill i heard Speilburg is doing it. maybe this will be the one in a hundred actualy good movie remakes.

It could be awful. Or it could be awesome.

Am I the only one on the face of the Earth that didn't like "Minority Report"? I mean, it started out good, but it just died a horrible death after (Not sure if this counts as spoilers, but better safe than sorry)they started to swap eyeballs, and Cruise eats the rotten sandwinch and drinks the spoiled milk. It's like what a 12-year old wrote that part!.

Hmm...the school computers don't have QuickTime on them, so I'll have to check it out when I get home. I'm just personally a little worried, because Speilberg hasn't impressed me much lately...

No, I didn't like Minority Report either, and the only movie I liked Tom Cruise in was Interview with a Vampire (you would never think he would play such a great villian because he usually plays the whitebread hero guy).
