Fabel. im not gd at title's....

now im basically wondering...is fabel a revoultion? or has it been done before?
i mean...i haven't personally seen anything quite like it before but i tend 2 just buy games when i get bored of what i have. so i may not be able 2 judge it properly.

the 1 thing that did impress me was that magic WASN'T A) required if u intend 2 live and/or B) totally offensive with 1 or 2 healing spells worked in. it the first game i played that made me get magic so i could hit things easier...thats new 4 me :) r there any other games that have that? or am i gonna have 2 play fabel till i can do it in my sleep?

but it had the 1 thing i think makes rpg's, or any game, fun. no difficulty setting! :D i think games with difficulty setting get boring very very quickly. once u complete it why try to do the exact same thing just with more frusterating enemy's?so im kina curious: is this a opion people share with me? or am i just picky with my games?

ooh...and hi! im new ;) and i am sorry if i got off topic...i tried 2 keep it on the straight and narrow, but the psycho chickenz made me!

Fable rules. I like everything about it that you do, but what really hooked me was that the good/evil stuff isn't a straight up choice: to be good, you had to make it a lifestyle, but it's easier with evil because the amount of evil points you can get within five minutes, although it's risky at low levels(the guards are surprisingly strong). Anyway, it's a great game and pretty unique. Enjoy!

I really liked it and never found out what happens if you get too old becuase I only rented it. I never got to see what all the spells did yet I really enjoyed lighting, and the multi strike arrow.

i dont have it but im getting it for christmas and my friend has it he likes it he says its like morowind only better in every possible and imagineable way

I really didn't care for it too much, I will say it is a good game, but defiinitely the greatest rpg of all time, I would even dare to say that KOTOR II is better. The guy that came up with this game is great for coming up with ideas that are amazing on paper, but don't come out well in reality, he's also the guy that came up with Black and White.

it was good but not that good.
1. You don't talk to anyone just gesture
2. you have to be famous to flirt or roar (stupid)
3. lock on sucked
4. short and not many towns
5. it takes like 5 minutes to get your fines down
6. really linear
7. very little magic moves
8. you age WAY to fast
9. stealth sucks
10. very few weapons and armor
11. law system is screwed up
12. the good/evil system is screwed up (10 evil points for killin wife/600 for abusing her)
13. shopkeepers never leave there stores
14. some towns you cant use weapons or magic even if you break the law
15. The guards will attack you for the stupidest things
16. the guards use leathal force for breakin a window
17. short. real short.
18. stores way to expensive
19. gold system screwed up (3000 gold for chain boots)
20. wicked annoying acting
21. you can only play a male white guy with black hair
that is all i have to say but i will admit the melee had good hittin power.

It was, acourding to some people a good game, but it wasnt at all revolutionary. It was for the xbox, but for rpg's in hole it isnt. I havnt played it so i cant make a definite yeah/nah saying, but from what i heard from my friend i think it sounds like a bad rpg (funny since the friend loves it), maybe a decint or good hack and slash (like diablo, whitch is a hack and slash not a good rpg) but till i play it whitch is close to Zero since i hate xbox. but if i do i can rate it, and probly in full since even a normal player can beat every thing in it in 30 hours, the main quest in aboutn 10.

Fable would have been great if it had been what they said it would have been. Let's take a little trip down flashback lane..*blurs*

One month before release:
"This game will have you playing forever! You and your friends won't have even CLOSE to the same playing experience! Everything's at your control! It's the best RPG ever!!!!"

*blurs back to present*
Today:
"Endless gameplay? We never said that. Best game ever? You can't prove anything!"

Same for Halo 2 as well. In fact, everything on X-Box is overhyped. I mean, hype's not a bad thing, but seriously, there's a fine line between overhyping and lying.

I wouldn't go that far. Halo wasn't hyped at all and it was still bombshell. In fact let's continue to Ninja gaiden, not hyped but fun. It's a big claim to say "Everything on ____ is _____" Unless you want to say "Everything that is Multi-platformed is better looking on Xbox" in which case you'd be right, simply due to processor power.

And need you forget Killzone, the "Halo killer?"

As one who has beaten the game, I am going to back psrdirector on this one. It's fun to go around killing things, but it gets old and the story and the maps are short. Maximum 30 hours gameplay for a below average gamer. As for revolutionary, I have to point out that Knights of the Old Republic did basicly the same thing only better and it is for the same console and is actualy a decent rpg.

If there's one thing I can't stand, it's people talking trash about consoles that they don't own. The X-Box has some of the best games out at the moment. Fable just isn't one of them. And their controlers are a masterpiece. Especialy the original ones. They fit perfectly in your hand, and all the buttons are readily accesable.
