The King of Lizards?
Ok This was originally in a question to the moderators that got out of hand in the Discussion forum. Who is the king of lizards. I claimed it was Godzilla. Am I mistaken? Cloud Strife informs me that its in actuallity a T-Rex. Whats your opinion? If the Lizards elect there kings and if T-Rex ran against Godzilla who would win the Election?
:bmage:"That is the stupidest thing I've ever heard!" :thief: "Agreed!" :fighter: "Swordchucks Yo!" :bmage: "Correction." |
I sure hope no one pulls a "notes to americans" here and eventually cites various biology professors and nobel prize winners to support their theory.

Which would probably be Godzilla. But then again, he IS from Japan... |
Godzilla. He can shoot energy stuff out of his mouth, which makes him infinitly better, plus he could just kill any T-Rexes that stand before him.

Godzilla is King of the Monsters. He isn't a lizard, or even a reptile for that matter.
There's an essay on just what Godzilla is in 'The Official Godzilla Compendium' which deals with this question quite nicely. The beast from 20,000 fathoms was king of the lizards. |
I have to say kraid. That guy is sweet. The only person who could beat him would be Ridly but he is more dragon like. Do dragons count a lizards? if they do then:
1) Ridley 2) Kraid 3) Bowser 4) Godzilla 5) King Gidrrah (only because godzilla beat him) |
I would say... that Godzilla is superior when compared to the T-Rex. The Japanese Godzilla.
While the American Godzilla was faster and more suited for monster-on-monster combat, the original japanese Godzilla was able to take a lot more damage. One was like an fast light-armored vehicle and other one was a slow heavy-armored tank. But, no... I present you, the REAL king of all lizards: http://www.qwantz.com |
That site rocks adamark had a link to it on his sig. Whose Ridley and Kraid? (links help)
|
Just to clarify, are we judging kingship based on actual power or just aesthetic appeal?
Ridley and Kraid are both villains from the Metroid games would like to point out that if we are judging based on power, just comparative size takes both Kraid and Ridley out of the running. |
Bahamut is technically the "king of all dragons" if dragons count as lizards, then Bahamut is the king of all lizards.
If not: Godzilla was, in one version, originally a T-Rex. He's a bigger, better version. Also, T-Rex's sceintific name was devised before Godzilla's appearance in this world, therefore making it only the King of Lizards at the time. Godzilla wins. |
