What the fuck? These assholes picketed in front of my school this morning, because our school employs and accepts gays (we have a club called the "Gay/Straight Alliance"). Now, we usually just ignore shite like this because we have another club (The Pioneers for Christ) that opposes them on just about everything they do. But this group has printed a newsletter that claims our school is a "sodomite whorehouse & propaganda mill". Our city is proud of its diversity and acceptiveness of different political ideas (we even let the KKK have rallys once a year), but this seems over the top. Especially since they came all the way from Topeka, Kansas.
Now, maybe it's just me, but I don't think having gay and bi friends is going to make me want to drop my pants and get shafted. These accusations seem quite uncalled for.

Agreed. I have gay and bi friends myself. They know their limits. They know I'm straight. They don't try anything. To claim that Homosexuality and Bisexuality is contagious is absurd.

Yeah, I have gay/bi friends, and I even went to a lame GSA meeting in our school. Of course, we don't have an opposing force.

well said! literalism in a 2000 year old piece of scripture leads to fanatics, and that's almost never good. i think these god hates fags people are clearly fanatics, considering as a legitimate christian organization would a) never use god in their title like that b) never use "hates" in connection with god, and c) would prefer to call gays.. well.. not "fags"

Damn that Jerry Falwell, he gives conservatives a bad name. In truth, he's just an angry little bigot with a lot of followers...sound like someone else we know (Hitler). The fact aside that falwell is a douchebag, me and some friends like to make up fake clubs in opposition of the ones that post their little flyers all over the school.
-The Gay-Straight alliance made us think up this one:
The God-Straight Alliance, our motto: Pray? No way!; But butt sex? yay! (y'know because we can't have religion in school)
-The Young Democrats had flyers that said "Are you a [picture of a donkey], then you should join the young Democrats!"
Our revision: "Are you an Ass?[superimposed on the donkey], then you should join the Young Communists!"
Another one of theirs had an elephant with a circle and slash over it, we put some text on saying "Fight Pachyderm obesity"

Just for shits and giggles, you know...
