Favorites Amongst the Fighting Genre
 

What's your favorite Fighting Game(s)? And why?

I'm AMAZED no one has made this thread but here we go! :)

I'll name a few of my fav's first to get you blokes warmed up.

Guardian Heroes-This game was before it's time. Awesome Heck, I need to buy it again.

Soul Calibur 1 for Dreamcast-I like all the sets and series of all the systems but SC 1 really hit home for me...awesome game. They should of made SC 2 a lil bit like SC1.

Powerstone 1 & 2-AWESOME! I like the characters and the set up. The only weakness is they need to more the plot and the characters deeper. Also they need a few more ppl to play as...are they doing a third?

The Tekken series is my favorite, well...before they made number 4 that is. Still, I like the gameplay in all of them. I think I'll go get Tekken 5 when it comes out ^_^

I liked the first couple of Mortal Kombat games, before they went insane with characters.

The first three Mortal Kombat games
Soul Caliber I and II
Smash Bros and Smash Bros Melee

Guilty Gear series.

I'm going to have to go with Soul Calibur.

Now, if only they didn't remove the semi-auto-targetting from SCII...

Since nobody else has mentioned it, I think DOA is quite good.

SC2. Very Proficent with Kilik and Mina.
SSBM- Stright-up beat-down madness that's also fun!

And that's about all the fighting games I play.

Capcom vs SNK 2
Dead or Alive 3
Gaoru: Mark of the Wolves
Soul Calibur 1
Super Smash Bros. Melee

Those would be my top 5 favorite. And the ones I play regularly.

How could I forget the Marvel vs. Capcom games. Those have taken many a quarter from me in the arcades.
