Fable

anyone played that game? I believe it's for xbox only. I loved it from the beginning, though the intro was a bit slow, it still caught me. Everything you can do in it is just so perfect. All the Spells, every weapon everything! ^^

you're opinion? :)

It was allright, i rented it and beat it befor it had t be retunnd, to many lglitchses, like the infinit mony and exp ones. and the last boss, i beat in 2 hits. it seemed for a game that was delayd so many times it was rushed. and for a week after i beat it i couldent stop talking like one of those gaurds.

I enjoyed most of it. Pretty humourous and fun, but short.
At least, when copared to RPGames like Morrowind (Morrow-Find a small cave on the middle of fucking nowhere-Wing).

And thanks to the gods, there were only one or two "Protect the weak villager" kind of missions.

I never figured out what I was supposed to do with the evidence I had against Mrs. Gray (Was that her name?). I even married her and all that (To get a Evil Red Axe), but never found a way to rat her out with the guards.

I dunno, I loved it. Very diverse in the way it balanced spells against swords or archery. Some of the quests were pretty fun.

Hey Continuum, I played Morrowind for about 2 hours and hated it. Is it just me, or does that game have absolutely fucking insane load times. I mean, I could have programmed my own by the time some of the screens finished loading, seriously. maybe it's just me.....

never played morrowind.. but i can't imagine you completing the game, in less then 3 days(if thats you're "borrowing-a-game-time").. I've played it for about 20 hours now, and i'm closing up on the end :) 2bad though, i loved the game :) looking forward for a number to (it that's even in the directors mind :P)

Fable? Played it for about 22 hours. 6 of them after I actually beat the game.

(THERE WILL BE SPOILERS!)

+ Fun while it lasted.
+ Nice Fighting Engine.
+ Graphics.

- Plot has a good skeleton, but that's all it really is; none of the characters get any real development, outside of you, Mr. Ages faster than people who started older than you.

- The "Consequences" to main plot choices were nonexistant. Let Twinblade live? He vanishes and sends assassins to 6 points in order to kill you with a one-man ambush. Kill him? His followers try to get revenge by sending assassins to 6 points and perform a one-man ambush. Same with Whisper. Kill her, she's dead, and Thunder hates you. Let her live, she's gone, and Thunder hates you.

- The age system. In order to reamin young, you either need to constantly donate to one of the temples, or not increase your stats. Sure, it's okay at first, but when your own mother is younger than you, it gets annoying.

- WHERE IS THE DRAGON?! WHERE ARE ALL OF THE PROMISED THINGS?!

- The first three quests that you get from the Guild (Snow Troll, Minion Camp, Angry Mob) are dummied items. They do nothing. They vanish once you finish a certain quest, and never return. If you get enough renown for them, they vanish.

As for Morrowind... the loading time is NOTHING unless you've been abusing the soultrap glitch.

I, alas, have a PS2 only. Seeing Fable almost made me want to buy an Xbox. Almost

Buying an Xbox for Fable is a very bad idea, I finished it in about ten hours and did most of the side quest type things. The game itself is fun and great but it needs to be like triple the length. Worth a rental but I regret buying it.

When i fist read about it I had the same feeling. I had a PS2 for a while, and thought about a game cube just for the starwars games(i like space combat). Then i read about Fable, and I imediately reconsidered what other system I might want. Then the game was actually made and reviews came out, so now i would like to play it, but i'm not going to buy an X-Box for it. I'm happy with my PS2 for now, just have to wait for the next Xenosaga to come out, or learn Japanese and play the 1.5 version.

The load times for Morrowind are really long if you're playing it on the XBox. If it's on the PC, then it's quite fast.

I loved Fable, but like many others have said, it's insanely short.

And as for the dragon, that quest was taken out. Which was pointless. Without the dragon, it meant that you NEVER had a reason to go to Hook Coast except for that Abbey. After you're done with the abbey, I never really went back.

However, I've heard that they're coming out with something called "Fable 1.5", or something like that. It's Fable with all the quests that they took out, plus some new quests, armor, weapons, etc. Hopefully, it will be longer.
