Ninja (Naruto) RP Sign-Up
 

This would be a ninja RP based off the Naruto world.

Characters will be Genin, who are taking the Chuunin exam soon. Before that, a few of your basic Genin missions (Finding lost pets, doing yard work, etc), and moments of rest for training/character. The characters will be split into groups, which depend on how many people are in the RP (For example, if 8 people signed up, 2 groups of 4. If 11 people signed up, 3 groups of 4, NPC filler).

There are three basic jutsu (Ninja fighting styles). Taijutsu, physical attacks (Which can include chakra in them). Ninjutsu, ninja magic. Genjutsu, illusions and clones. Ninjutsu and Genjutsu require hand seals to preform, which requires both hands.

Read the info in the websites provided above for Chakra info (Control of chakra is another factor you need to think of).

When making your character, think of a general guideline for their ninja techniques. No randomly thrown together skills into one character. And remember that you are Genin, not super elite ninja gods.

Advanced bloodlines are avaliable. They are Chakra Leach, Byakugan, and Sharingan. To get them, request the bloodline. I will then decide if you can have it. (Edit - Or, you can create your own, But, it needs permission)

Include how well character can control chakra. Remember to be balanced, or you will be nerfed. You can make techniques up.)

it would also be good if we sectioned our characters off into groups of 4 for missions and whatnot, not to mention: what village will we plan to start off in?

Crap, I was gonna set one up tommorow. Anyways thanks less work for me. If its freeform start at Gennin. If stat-based start at the Chuunin Exam maybe. Are we gonna be in Leaf, Mist, Sand, Sound, or something else? Would you allow charachters to have Advanced bloodlines? I know its alot to answer, but I'm at least as obsessed with Naruto as I am with Nuklearpower/age

I'm interested in this, but have no experience outside the translated manga, which's only at chapter 53, in the Forest part of the chunin exams. Would that be a factor in my involvement in this RP? Also, as to where we start, it could be a special team made up of ninjas from many villages in order to tap the various talents found in different towns. That just seems like the easiest way to allow maximum character choice.
EDIT: Oh, and start as genin, as I have experience being a child but none of being an adult.

What would the new village be though? They've taken the basic fire, wind (or sound, same diff...), earth and water elements, plus one other, lightning I think, so we'd have to be from something dumb-sounding. Like "The village hidden among the light." It sounds like bad fanfiction. Bleah. I think we should stick with Konoha, but not have the main characters available, because I know someone would be Gaara and kill everyone off. I know it.

Not every PC (If any) would pass the Chuunin exam you know.

Konoha (Hidden Leaf Village) would be the Village the PCs are from. It's the most known Village, and I know next to nothing about the rest of the villages (Besides a few little factiods, they are rarely seen or mentioned in the series). Konoha offers plenty of character development and diversity in ninja techniques (Besides sand and water control, everything else is avaliable. And I'd even let some water control). And I already know a lot about Konoha, it's a lot easier to use that then making up a new Village.

Advanced Bloodlines can be in the RP, but I would give the three out as I see fit (First the person would have to ask, then I would decide if I think they should get it). The three are Chakra Leach, Byakugan, and Sharingan. One of each max.

Lack of Naruto knowledge would not prevent RPing, though your character probably wouldn't be as creative or accurate as Naruto fans.


Also, this is based on Naruto, not an exact copy. There will be a Kage, but it won't be the 5th. The Jounin will not be Kakashi or Gei. So no Naruto characters will be in this RP (I don't want to butcher them). Besides the characters though, everything will be very, very similiar.

That sounds great. As long as we won't be entrenched in the series I should know enough (and if my knowledge fails, there's narutofan.com). So, will this be free-form or stat-based and will we be genin, chunin, or (probably not) jonin? That's all we need to know to start making characters.

Definately count me in. I will be unable to post until monday after friday though, so bear with me if you start on the week-end.

what about advanced techniques that a genin shouldn't know. Like Naruto's art of the dopple ganger and Sasuke's fireball attack.
