Still I wonder if this ever got further than just the planning stages. I'd hate to think we actually spent money on any of this.

Not that I think its in any way possible. I mean, sure you can make a weapon ala Viagra, but to make a drug that would influence homosexual behavior would also require us to know the cause of said behavior. Something that's still currently unknown.

OK, Considering the fact that we usually just kill people, defeating them by sending them into a frenzy of homoeroticism doesn't sound bad at all. We should have access to weapons like this, it works out for everyone!

seriously though, its really not as rediculous as it sounds, I mean if it worked it would be quite a humane way of defeating enemy forces, plus I bet they'd all reconsider their lifestyles afterwards. Perhaps this weapon is just what we need to bring world peace!

Ooookayyy... Well, that just goes to show what I've been saying about the government all along. Those people wouldn't know what to do with money if it came with instructions. They probably did waste a considerable amount of money just coming up with the idea, I don't want to know how much they actually spent on funding research.

Might I say that we actually are gaining a relatively good understanding of the causes of this behavior. There are actually documented cases of causing homosexuality in laboratory animals. (Only rats at this stage but who knows what the future will bring.) However, causing this reaction would require specific surgery or manipulation at a developmental level. I also doubt that the human sexual system in a very determined human, even with an overabundance of chemicals.

Finally, as to whether or not this is funny... I'm too cynical to find this asinine expendature of government recources and ideas funny. Neither would it be very effective, nor would it make people any happier about losing. It would probably make these survivors more angry than not. How would you feel if your enemy could jack your mind and tear your control away from you. It's F-ing mind control at it's best so far and is rediculously unethical. Well there, there's my stalwartly cynical viewpoint for you. I just can't stand that the government would waste it's time and recources on something this rediculous.

perhaps you're not cynical enough, especially since you seem to be such a stickler for human rights. ;) This probably isn't even real, I've seen so many joke news articles that I never thought this one could possibly be real. You seem to be taking it kind of seriously, and if thats the case maybe we should move this topic to the discussion forum, but before that we should substantiate just exactly how much capitol was expended.


By the way, your taxes pay me too, and most of the time I sit around and do nothing, I don't even work a full work week usually!

Ah... perhaps it is fake... but I wouldn't put it past the US government to consider this. However, the true point of my post was the middle paragraph... AND to vent my general bad day through oppinion posting.

On a second note, I never said I was AGAINST mind control, it's just not a good idea for a government that wants to pursue human rights to develop something that close to it. As I've said on countless occasions: your pathetic "ethics" don't apply to me.
