Pirate! Vs! Ninja!
 

Ladies and gentlemen, this is the debate that we have all waited for:

Pirates versus Ninjas
--------------------

who do you think would win in a fight, and why?

Ninja. Unless they're undead cursed pirates. Or they're led by Johnny Depp... I mean Jack Sparrow. Anyway, onto the reasons.

Ninja: Trained from birth in many different forms of martial arts and physical ability, including stealth, speed, and flexibility. They also use many tricks involving their clothing and movement to make it appear as if they are magical to scare their foes (such as dying their black robes red, which doesn't change the color but makes it imperceptible when they bleed. Thus giving the impression that they are immortal.) In conclusion they are highly trained killing machines.

Pirates: Are thieves, basically. They are not trained in any form of martial art, for the most part, and if they are it is just some military training in swordsmanship or firing a musket. They rarely excel in either. The only reason that pirates are feared is because of the way the law worked. If a pirate was caught they were imprisoned and then killed. To surrender was to die, and thus they did everything they could to avoid capture, and they VERY rarely surrendered. The military of the time was not used to dealing with people who would use any tactics imaginable to win, as is easily shown by how easily america won the revolutionary war by 'cheating.' Pirates were basically the same way, only on the sea. In conclusion, pirates aren't good fighters, they're just cheap fighters.


As for which do I like better... I really dislike both of them.

Ninja: Very rarely have anything resembling a sense of fun as that they have spent most of their lives in training and assassinating people.

Pirates: Have no sense of decency or responsibility. These are people that got sick of having no freedom and decided to take all the freedom in the world, even if it completely negates someone else's. They spent most of their time killing, raping, and pillaging. Hardly as romantic as people like to think of them.

So Ninja are boring and Pirates are morally reprehensible.

I remember something a while back, however it was more along the lines of "100 Ninja vs. 100 Pirates" that was inspired by a letter that was read on X-Play. By the end it was generally accepted that Ninja would own the Pirates, so long as there are oppertunities for sneak attacks.

It doesn't even matter if there are sneak attacks looking at the credentials they both have. Ninja fight dirty AND they know how to fight. Pirates just fight dirty.

But Ninja in the open is their weakness, if you could call it that. Then it'd be more of a draw.

Bah. Chris the ninja pirate owns 'em all.

Ninjas. I mean, c'mon, they're NINJAS!

The Pirates their due. One pirate could kill 12-20 ninjas easily. There pirates man!

Ninjas:
-Sneaky
-Fast
-skilled (at hit and run)
-pussies
-swords and other ninja weapons

Pirates:
-Badass
-Mean Man
-Guns and swords


Its not as if Pirates a unskilled at fighting you can't loot and pillage whole towns without having fighting skills.
the Indivual Pirate can be highly unskilled or very skilled depending on his personal habits.

In a fight the ninjas would strike hard and fast in the first few minutes taking dealy toll, but after that they're exposed and would be cut down like so many weeds.

But beyond that neither Ninjas or Pirates would be able to fend off a Viking.


So in the long run who wins between a pirate and Ninja? A viking does.

Let me try to remember something from the last thread about this. Here goes.
Whenever someone fight a large group of ninjas, they suck. But, when they fight only one or two ninjas, those ninjas are the most baddass killing machines on earth. Thusly, at the beginning, the pirates would be winning untill they kill off most of the ninjas leaving only a few left. Then those few would beat the everlovin' crap out of the pirates.

In short, the true winners would be the spectaters.

The "As more ninjas dies, the more ass they will kick" theory is true, I still think the ninjas would kill the pirates long before they were losing many numbers... I don't see why people think open areas are bad for ninjas, and that they can't fight in them. Ninja's are just as good in wide areas as in smaller ones, just smallers ones are easier for the 1 person assassination, which is what ninjas usually do, though they can fight in the open easily.
