"If you won't mind, I'll stay up for a while also." Celes said. "Cecil can take care of down here, I'll check upstairs."
|
"That sounds like a good idea, keeping two guards," Cloud said. "Celes, go through that door back there behind the flowers. There should be a ladder you can climb up, followed by some stairs. To get to the roof, though, you'll have to jump over a good sized gap."
Cloud went over and sat down next to Tifa, looking at the flowers with her. "You're right, Tifa, I'm sure. She wouldn't mind at all," he said quietly. |
"Who was she?" Palom's voice had lost its usual sting, becoming softer. Leaning back on one of the benches, the Black Wizard gazed contemplatively at the flowerbeds, "She must have put a lot of love into this place...even in the midst of all this destruction, the flowers are still blooming."
|
"She was...a friend. She's also a hero, though unsung. She helped us save the Planet...but the cost was her life," Cloud said quietly, eyes showing that he was thinking back, remembering. "She was always in touch with the planet. That's probably how she got the flowers to grow here...and they still grow today, as you can see."

Rydia had nearly changed into her new outfit, and was looking at the backside of the leather jacket. It was a picture of Ramuh. "Curious." She said, before putting it on. "Well, time to see if I look the part of a girl from these times."
Rydia decided not to bring her other outfit with her. Chances are that they'd find plenty of clothing shops like that one along the way and this outfit was so much more comfortable. She stepped out into the main chamber where the others were with the flowers. "So what is it about these flowers? I haven't seen any of them since coming to this world." |
Cloud shook his head. "I'll tell you tomorrow. We should rest for now."

(OOC) Insert "Good night, until tomarrow" here
The dawn broke, along with a cloudy sky that looked like it will rain at any moment. |
Palom yawned sleepily, stretching and blinking as he awoke. Sitting up, he looked around to see if any of the others were already awake.
|
Cloud was already up as the sky grew lighter, bringing in the day. He was looking over the flowers, recalling the first time he had come here, and looking up, through the roof above him, saw the sky beyond the still-broken Mako reactor of Sector five, a silhouette against the dawn's light. "Looks like it might rain today..." he mumbled.
I hope you're with us today, Aeris...it seems like we'll need some help for this. |
((Aeris))
Tifa was curled up on one of the benches. She awoke with a start. "No!" She sat up and was sweating all over. Her face was flushed and her hands were shakey. Realizing that it was only a dream, she breathed a heavy sigh and tried to calm down. |
