Career: Researcher and University Professor, sometimes Geologist
Realm: A realm of stone, nothing more, nothing less.
Abilities before awakening: Minor Terrakenisis: Minor tremors, dust clouds etcetera
Abilities after awakening: Full Terrakenisis: the ability to manipulate earth and rock with the mind.
Description: Somewhat tall and skinny, he has dark brown hair and eyes and wears glasses with rectangular lenses and black frames. Wherever he goes he wears a tweed jacket that a student bought for him. Otherwise, he prefers the color gray and wears nearly everything that color except for a pair of black boots that he brought from his home country.
Bio: Gaius spent most of his life fascinated with science, everything from physics to geology to metallurgy and everything in between, but this was of little use to him. Why? Because Gaius was born in the Belarus during the throughs of soviet control. However, his above average intelegence soon attracted members of soviet research institutions to him and he began a long and sometimes rewarding life of working for the soviet government resarch institutions. However, after the money supply stopped flowing at the end of the cold war, Gaius moved instead to the Ukrane where he began working at a University as the USSR collapsed. Several years later, after surviving a freak earthquake, Gaius was approached by members of the SPR who offered him a job stateside. Being that he lived in something of a desolate hole, Gaius accepted and moved to the US on the SPR's dime, which wasn't hard because he had had something of a linguistic bent and knew English thanks to his high intelligence. In the US, Gaius was set up at a University teaching basic Geology... or, having an undergrad teach basic Geology while he did research and worked at the SPR.

I'm gonna wait for the other two guys who said they wanted to be in to post characters. But I will start the RP tomorrow regardless. I'll leave this thread open a few more days after that for others but I'm going to limit it to 8-10 characters for now.

Aww. MLA beat me to asking about animal shapeshifting. If he doesn't post a char sheet, I totally claim it for my own (in place of the current awakened ability).

Code Name: Torrent (usually shortened to Tor)

Age:19

Career: Web Designer

Realm: A world almost entirely covered in ocean (with wicked weather patterns). Landmasses are small, none larger than, say, Madagascar. Although there is a marked tendency towards jungle or forest islands, islands with other landforms (savannah, steppe, desert, etc) also exist.

Abilities before awakening: minor hydrokinesis (think staying somewhat dry when it's raining, little tiny stuff like that), communication with animals, speed reflexes

Abilities after awakening: major hydrokinesis (weather control, water funnels, although obeying laws of thermodynamics), the same other abilities he had before

Description: think a typical surf bum, and you've basically got what Kel looks like. He's about 5'10", bright blue hair with a tendency to fall in his eyes (it would be red if it wasn't dyed), tanned, with green-blue eyes that change shades depending upon the light. Typically found in surf shorts and a t-shirt (when it's warm enough) or jeans and a sweater (when it isn't). A life of surfing and martial arts mean that he lands somewhere between skinny and muscled - the most appropriate word is probably rawboned. Gives the impression of being boneless. And asleep, usually. Has several tattoos, mostly either celtic knotwork or Maori designs, as well as an eyebrow ring.

Bio: Kel was born in Saskatchewan, Canada. The most landlocked place ever. So it came as a bit of a surprise to him when he immediately fell in love with the ocean and all things surfing when he began attending university on the coast at the age of 15. After getting his degree in computer science, he immediately moved to Hawaii, and now runs his own Web Design business, as well as working at a friend's comic book store to make ends meet. He was recruited into the SPR after another SPR member witnessed him take the most spectacular wipeout ever while surfing, and emerge almost completely unscathed.

Career: Vet
Realm: An infinitely long flatland, where any and all creatures (including a few mythical ones) roam.
Abilities before awakening: Spirit Transfer, Animal telepathy
Abilities after awakening: Full on Beast-Boy, just crazier
Description: Uhm...about man height, medium build, glasses.
Bio: Job was born in Ireland, where he immediatly connected to animals. He was nicknamed Doctor Doolittle because he always knew what peeved off or upset animals, but when he woke up one day inside the body of a goat (spiritually) he knew that he had something more than a 'knack'. He went to the doctor to find out what was wrong and met a nurse that knew something about 'special abilities' and just happened to be dating a man from an organization dedicated to those abilities...

gh0st: Ineed you to change one minor thing. Waterbaloon sized hydrokinesis is a bit much for a preawakened ability. Tone it down a bit. Remember these aren't abilities that the average person would have, but they aren't spectacular. maybe a few water droplets shifting minimally. Now the wipeout thing is cool, because it was a point of extreme need.

Also everyone remember, the SPR is merely a Paranormal investigation agency, it is just the inner circle that has any abilities or knowledge of the gateways. Most are just ordinary people.

Real: A world much like the earth, except in total Thunderstorms. It doesn't rain, just thunders all over the place.
Abilities before awakening: A sense of thunderstorms approaching, and seemed to have control over static electricity.
Abilities after awakening: The ability to call thunderstorms and generate enough electricity to kill a man.
Description: He is pretty much skinny, always has messy hair do to the static. He wears
blue jeans and random t-shirts mostly, but in cold weather he has a leather jacket he puts on.
Bio: Always had a love for technology, even tore apart a computer and put it back together at around age 10. He went into the field of computers and became a computer
technician. He then became a networker because of the pay. He got a job supposedly networking at SPR, but they learned somehow that he got in many fights when he was younger, and that those people got shocked in the same spot in those fights and had blisters for weeks on end afterwards.
