I'm sure we'll never have to worry about it kicking in at inopportune moments.
In Ep. 147, RM claims that he sometimes goes mad with power. Yet I don't seem to recall him ever doing that, depsite the fact that since said episode he's become much more powerful and effective.
I guess it was just shitty writing. Or maybe RM will still go mad with power at a later date, further towards the end of the story. |

I can't think of any instances when :rmage: has gone nuts like he said he does. It could prove an interesting item later on. I could see them up against Chaos, prepared for a huge fight, then :rmage: goes nuts and kills him rather undramaticallly. The oterh LWs look at him he just says "What?"

Does him changing his class to theif during the encounter with lich count? He was going to flee and leave Theif to be killed.

Uhm... Have you people been reading the comic? What about the time where Red Mage was directing how to set-up camp? Admittedly, I'm having a hard time pulling anything else immediately to mind, but just because they don't instantly pop into my head, I don't doubt there are occasions.
Admittedly, nothing has come up at an inopportune moment, but there have been barely a smatterning of real combat situations to speak of. SWK |
What about the time BM was dying, and RM pronounced him dead. Then, Thief or Fighter (Forget which, and what comic, incidentally) said "No, I think he's alive." and RM came at BM with his sword, declaring "I am NEVER wrong."
I remember the quote because it's a good one, but must find the comic. |
What about when he suggested a hadoken jump? That seemed pretty mad.
And anyone notice that BM almost NEVER uses his Hadoken on people anymore? I think the last time he did was when theif left, and the time before that (when he aimed for someone) was in garlands basment. |
Archbio, Particleman: Yes, but still. Brian calling his own writing "shitty" is one thing, other people calling it that could get flamed, and nobody wants that to happen. I can see you didn't mean anything by it, though, so I apologize.
kev51pike, SkyWarrior KC, Lone Wanderer, The Fifth Power: I agree that "Mighty barracks" incident could be considered RM going power-mad. However, the class-change to Thief, his almost-murder of BM, and the hadoken jump idea were just cowardly selfishness, egotism, and one of RM's Crazy Plans (®), respectively, in my opinion. |
