"I wonder if we could use that monster's eye to see where we were going." Suggested Sylvia in a surprisingly coherent manner. "But I don't want to touch it, it's ucky." Sylvia took a step forward into the desert and began to dream about dessert.
"This is a nice place. I like the weather here. I think we should head over to the city to rest and pick up supplys."
"Let us get into the city fast, sand has got into one of my gears and I want to clean it out" Said SP220 as he started moving toward the distant city.
"This place bring back memories." Scott said. "When I came throught here, though, Xagor hadn't goten here." Scott looked onward. "That town should have protection from the sandstorm, unless Ashura knocked down the wall."
"We all seem to have oppinions on our own about this sandstorm" Arias said covering his face with his cape. "Lets get going, I dont want to carry that robot when the sand fucks up the rest of his gears." He said as he started moving towards the city.
OOC: How do WE know about Ashura? |
OOC: He's kinda famous. Pretty big ego. It's so big I'm surprised he could fit it into that tower.
OOC:I believe we can lower his ago a little. It shaint be too hard should it.
OOC: Don't count on it. Ashura will be your first actual boss battle, and he won't go down as easily as the spiders or that Imp.
IC: The winds calm significantly as the party passes through a large, doorless gate. A man greets them at the entrance. "Welcome to Desert Town, a haven for rogues and scoundrels. I advise you all to watch your backs as well as your wallets." There is an Inn, an Item Shop, a Weapon Shop, and a Pub. The people there may know where Ashura's Tower is... OOC: Visit the Discussion Thread to buy items. |
"The last time I was here, there was monster attacks, so be careful. I think that i'll want to buy a mage staff while i'm here." Scott reatrained himself from taking strait off twards the weapon's shop, knowing that there might be trouble.
"This really need re-sharpening..." Arias said holding up his sword.
"Well, if your going to the weaponshop then I guess its safer going two at a time. Just keep your eyes open." He said and started walking into the town. |
"Make that three. I deeply desire to get ouot of this desert" Said SP220 as he followed Scott and Arias.
Sylvia realized the rest were leaving into the desert, so she followed hastily. "Hey wait up! Is there a pub nearby?"
"I don't thnik this desert is so bad...." Pende muttered to himself. "I'll go with you to the pub; maybe the people here might know something useful." Pende had no intent to drink, since alcohol is flamable and he is a floating fireball. {Flamable, eh? Maybe I could use it to increase my buring attack....}
Sylvia and Pende begin questioning people about Ashura's tower, but they receive conflicting directions.
"Ashura's tower is in the eastern sand storm. But you never heard that from me." "No, it's in the western sand storm. You know I'm right!" "You're both mistaken. It's in the southern sand storm and that's final!" "Hey, you two!" The bartender ushers them over. "You looking for Ashura's tower? I think I can help... for a fee, of course." |
{I'm a cheep bastard.} "Your fee is me not burnin' yo ass." I stated with whips of fire emerging out of my mouth and a menicing look in my eyes.
The bartender opens his hand, palm up. A small chunk of ice forms in his hand. "You think I've never been threatened before, you little pyro-puff? We mutants know how to take care of ourselves. I'm not talking unless I see 50GP."
{You will pay in time, barkeeper. Yes, you will pay....}
NOt entirely sure thta he wanted to spend the 50 gp, Pende turned to the insights of the newest member to the party. "Sylvia," I whispered",do you think we can trust this guy?" |
SP220 walked into the bar and stood next to Pende. "What is the situation here gentlemen, my sensors seem to indicate that you are both in state of calm anger" SP220 stated.
OOC:I'm little?
I went over in my mind as to how to best present my case to the robot, as they tend to be rather logical. "Well SP220," I whispered", Me and Sylvia {or is that Sylvia and I?} were asking people in this bar questions pertaining to the location of Ashura's tower. We have been reciving contradictory answers from the alcohol-drinkers. However there is this one bartender who states that he knows the true location of Ashura's tower. But, he is charging a fee of 50gp.I'm am a bit hesitent because I don't know if he is telling the truth. After all, it is a possiblity that he doesn't really know where the tower is, and is simply lying to get our money, so that we get lost and die in the desert, so that we won't come back to get our gp. I tried to persuade him to give us the information for free, but it didn't work." |
Sylvia began flirting with the barkeep. "Tell you what, barkeep, how bout you give us that location and we'll pay you if your information stands up. And I'm sure you would rather do that than get into a brawl that would ruin this fine alcohol despensing establishment." Then she whispered to SPP20, "Do you think we can take him?"
