Well, I haven't heard everything, but that article comes up pretty far on the Whateverthehellyouwannacallthis-ometer. :D

It is quite obvious that the gnomes escaped by themselves, and are merely using the front as a way to draw police attention away from themselves. After reading the article, one must admit that there was no actual writing that would seem to include any non-gnome outside assistance to the GGLF.

Personally, I think they need to petition to GWB and have him deal with it. Everyone who wants freedom just asks the USA nowadays.

I applaud them for this, but you've got to ask yourself.

Do these people do it as a joke, or are they serious about this? Because that makes you wonder about the kind of medication they take...

Looks like they're serious enough to take prison time in stride.

Hmm... I wonder what these guys would think of those Travelocity commercials with "the Roaming Gnome"?

There's a fine line between seriousness and joking, and these people, much like myself, walk it.

My guess is they're serious about the joke. They know what they're doing is rather silly, but it's like golf to a really dedicated player. The game in itself is pointless and silly, but it brings enjoyment to the player and the fans who spectate.

....Or we're all just really batshit insane.
