dragonball-ish RP [not actually dragon ball]
 

First to clear this up. I said dragon ball to give people a frame of referance. This will have none of the characters or enviroments of DB Z/GT. You maynot transform or use the kamehameha. Your powers will be early-mid DB.

Setting
This is modern set taking place in a generic big city. For the most part people are unaware of those that have these powers, but they dont make it a point to hide their powers.

Powers
You will have powers such as enhanced speed, strength, endurance, energy shields, energy blasts, super speed, energy sencing, energy concealment, and flight. Your character will not have all of these powers and the more they have the weaker they are. Like I said for perspective you will be early-mid dragonball in ability. So you cant blow up cities, bullets will hurt just not kill.

Story
Basically you are normal humans that suddenly gained these powers. All of this seems to originate in the city you are now in. The source is unknown. This is free form but most would fall under these four catagories.

Hunter: you enjoy combat and challenge, possible a side effect of when your powers awakened. You seek out others with your abilities and fight to exhaustion or death.

Protector: Uses their powers for good. A small guild has formed of these like minded warriors. They mainly work to stop hunters and mercenaries.

Mercenaries: They use their powers for personal gain. Their only concern is how their powers can benifiet them. They normally get involved in the criminal underworld.

Neutral: These are people that try to live normal lives and dont really worry about others. However they are often the prey for hunters. Neutrals are also prone to eventually becoming members of one of the other types.

I'm in. How does spreading out the power work? Like how many powers makes you get weaker. Here's a suggestion that might make it easier to tell. To make it easier if you want you could make a point system. Like for each power 0-5 0 being i do what now? 5 being oops overkill. And give each person 10 points or whatever you deem appropriate in the begging. Anyway yah i'm in.

Naw I dont wanna bog down on that. besides things will change.

Basically 3 or 4 is good. With that you can compensate for areas your lacking in. You could dump it all in, lets say, energy blasts and be able to create 10ft craters. But then someone could just run up and punch you in the face. Ok I will make this simple. You start out with 4, no matter what you will have some basic strength, speed, and endurance but it will just be above average.

Bio:Cedric's parents were Mystics. They believed in the energy of the world in the body. As a result Cedric also grew up a mystic. His parents also believed in the strength of the body so along with meditation and other mystic arts he has been a martial artist his whole life. When his powers emerged Cedric and his parents were overjoyed at what they thought was the finding of all Mystics age long search for power of the mind. Cedric is always working at improving his control of energy. Unlike most other hunters Cedric only fights willing people and never to the death. When not training by fighting other's Cedric spends his time meditating in the wood under a waterfall as he strenthens the connections of his mind body and soul.

Bio: Dan loves competition and was the captain of his high school football team. It wasn't enough to get him a scholarship, however, so he was atending a comunity colege on hourly wages when the powers hit him. Now he doesn't care anymore. He has a morbid fascination with his new powers and loves to use them... especialy on others with the same powers.

ok you both need more in your appearance. And you cant be neutral and a hunter. Think about it realistically. That kind of power would make a person want to do good, evil, or hide it. Some would be driven by the desire for challenges. Thats why I made the 4 main catagories

Appearance: 5'10 about 200lbs. He has dark medium length hair. His eyes are a deep blue and his body well built. He often wears tennis shoes, blue jeans, and a simple T-shirt.
Catagory: Neutral
Powers: Strength, speed, endurance
Bio: Jack is rumored to be the first to gain powers and is considered one of the more powerful in the region. Once he gained his powers he set off looking for the cause that led him to the city. He completely lost his identity from before and became a wanderer. Despite this to a casual observer he looks normal. Jack keeps up appearances constantly and is often hanging out in public places. However this often presents a problem since he is often a target for hunters.

I posted a few questions in my bio, until i get the anwsers i can't finish it and do my bio, and yah i guess i cant be neutral and hunter.

energy shields are force fields. They block everything. It is more powerful then endurance but takes more energy, also energy shields need to be put up so you have to see the attack comimg. Its best to pick shield if you intend to protect things. If by all energy you ment pure energy blasts. You can create rather last blasts. Your basic shot could blow up a semi and if you put it all into a big shot you can take out a building. Course like I said you would be pure offence and could be taken out easily. Though you could add in flight and be artillery. You know stay in the air and spend all day blasting.

As for what caused this, its unknown. Only a few characters even know there was a cause at all. Most just assume it was something totally random. Some dont even know others like them exist
