Namco X Capcom
The Lowdown: a strategy RPG for the PS2 much in the style of... um, Final Fantasy Tactics or Super Robot Wars, I suppose, featuring characters from both Namco and Capcom.
http://rpgamer.com/news/Q1-2005/012605c.html The Screenshots. http://rpgamer.com/games/other/ps2/n...ropaganda.html The chances of this game actually coming over to America are probably slim, but... y'know, to see Sir Arthur duke it out with the Xenosaga enemies would be worth the import for me. :bmage: |
Yeah, no kidding. Xeno would make a great toss in. ;)

Tonberry, you might want to actually post something adding to the topic before your banned...
anyways, the game might be fun. I noticed that they've shaft my favorite werewolf fom the spotlight again. but they have Jin, and any demonic members of the Mishima blood is fine with me |
This game has an awsome amount of potential. I wouldn't mind trying it out just because of some of my favorite characters being around and fighting some of my other favorites.
I'm not exactly a Namco-addict or Capcom obsessed, but the idea is sweet. Now if it was something like Konami and either Sega, Namco or SNK......oh wow. -_- And dispite the fact that there are going to be a good 25%-50% of the characters we don't know cuz the games aren't out here, I still hope it makes its way over here. But then again, if it doesn't, I can just get an import of it... And I might anyway because, although it has tons of characters from fighters or the like, the fact that its a long SRPG and features other non-fighter characters means that it would most undoubtibly have a dub. Not to start a sub vs dub thing here...just a fact to point out. But I mean, throwing any sense of quality or anything else aside, I've gotten use to Ken's voice since the original SFII till now. I don't suddenly want a new one... BTW. Um..on the second picture at the bottom, there's a character on the page that looks a LOT like Samus (her helmet off). Although she has brown hair and looks really happy/anime like. I doubt its her because its NamcoxCapcom and stuff but....the helmet sure looks like Samus'. |
And as always, there is a picture of Morrigan just as she always is supposed to be; one hand supporting her breasts. Go figure.
As for the game, it looks like if Namco is making it this could be the new Marvel Vs Capcom for our age. Since Namco really doesn't make bad games (DOA, Ninja Gaiden, Soul Calibur...I rest my case) this has tons of potential. That and I wanna see Megaman (X) or Zero bustin some whoopass on Ryu in a fighting game, not a MVC game. |

I, myself, would like to see them throw Link in. Capcom has been making a lot of Zelda games lately.
|
Link is not capcom's character, he's nintendo's
ex; ANyone from SF, rival schools, megaman, Darkstalkers are capcom. Soul blade/caliber(2), and Tekken are namco |
Well...
But, then why on all the RECENT GBC GBA games does it say CAPCOM? Besides the co-programming, why? If Link is Nintendo's why do they help out? HMM! Take a look at the obvious. Minish Cap (Xcelent Game by all means) has CAPCOM on its opening screen after the obligatory sound check. I love the Legend of Zelda (obsess, breathe, [eating and sleeping reserved for Final Fantasy]) and having Link among other Zelda Characters with friggin Megaman in a Tactical RPG would rule!
|
That doesn't mean a thing so tone it down a bit. Even if Nintendo allowed capcom to co-program, that does not in any way make LINK A CAPCOM CHARACTER. deal with it, link was not made by capcom this he isn't a capcom character. just making a paralell, Xenogears belong to Square but XenoSaga belong to namco, you don't see Fei or anyone from that cast announced in this game, do you?
EDIT: plus, until it says in the copyright information that LINK is PROPERTY of CAPCOM, then link will always be a nintendo character, no matter on who programs/coprograms the game |
