OOC: I never said my semi-human mage was stronger then his orc were-wolf, or that my guy was more evil then your guy.

"Kalimare, since I respect you so deeply as a warrior, I will let you fight this battle alone so you can catch up to the rest of us," Vace said before Kalimare ran into the forest. Vace yelled, "*Sigh* I tired to warn you not to underestimate this thing!" Then he said to Dawn, "Well, my attack plan is to charge after him, attack the nearly indestructable monster, and hope by some stroke of luck we defeat it, care to join me?"

(OOC: whew, this whole monster thing is going way different than I had planned. So bear with me... I'm kinda making up this part on the fly. ^^;; )

Cesia's curiousity was getting the best of her, "Thid, stay with the horses," She instructed, then she wandered over, closer to the opening of the hole. She held her breath as the smell got worse. She quietly peered down into the hole, hoping that she wouldn't be looking straight into the eyes of the monster.

"Whew..." She sighed, "I wish I could tell how deep it goes, or what's down there..." She said, peering into the cave closer. All she could see was the ground going deeper at a steep incline. Suddenly, she heard a cry in the distance. <That sounded like Kalimare.... They must have found the monster. I have to go help!> She said as she jumped to her feet. Unfortunately, she had chosen a bad place to put her foot; the dirt gave out, causing her to fall in the hole and roll down the steep incline.

"Oww..." She moaned, feeling a little battered from her trip. It was pitch black in the hole, but she could still see some light from the entrance of the hole. She suddenly slowed her breathing to a near stop. ....Something else was there.... even deeper in the hole. She preyed whatever it was didn't hear, see, or even sense her presence. She glanced back at the incline. If she was careful, she might be able to make it up silently...

*Meanwhile*

The creature was catching up with Kalimare. Despite it's large size, it had an impressive speed, and it was gaining.

Lynx turned around to see what was going on, but only seeing Thid and a bunch of horses. "... Where did everyone go?"

"Care to wipe that last bit of sarcasm from your lips?" She cut her eyes up at him. "I just think that we should at least try something... we can't just let him die." She tried to think for a moment. "I think I might have an idea, but it would involve having to get up close to that thing.... you'll help right?"

Thid watched as the princess fell from view. Well now, i have two options. I either go and help her or stay here. Since that is probably the monster's den, it would be safer to stay here. But then again, the princess is my best chance of getting a clean shot at killing Cid.

Self-preservation instincts warred with vengeance until a tiny, seldom heard voice deep with in Thid piped up. It would be the right thing to do you know, help someone who might be in trouble.

Na, just climbing out of a deep mental pit your evil side dug. Now go see what's wrong or i shall taunt you endlessly!

Thid then tied up his horse, "Don't you go anywhere now, ya hear?" And then, with his bow and a quiver on his back, advanced upon the den.

"Cesia, you ok?"

"... Idiot..." Lynx rode up to the horses, and sighed. "There all idiots..."

OOC: I'm assuming Jude would have gone after Dawn, and Tama would have gone after monster, so Lynx would be al0ne.

"Of course I'll help, can't just let him get messily devoured by some hideous monster, and you'd be surprised how serious I was about my plan..." Vace said, then helped Dawn onto his horse and took off after Kalimare.

"You've got to be kidding... just charge in and attack? That's the best plan?" She wrapped her arms around him tightly so that she wouldn't fall off. "You have to remember, I can't fight.. I just think I might have a way to stop that thing from killing anyone."
