Brian should take a vacation

As much as I like 8-Bit Theater, I think it's time for Brian to take some time off so that he can recharge the ol' batteries and come back refreshed. Maybe I'm alone here, but it seems as if the quality of the writing has been slipiping, and the jokes aren't quite as funny as they should be. There have also been certain plotlines which seem totally innane, even for 8-Theater, showing up recently (namely White Mage in the void). Brian has been exceptional about getting out comics on time, he deserves a little break.

Of course, there's the little problem of Brian paying his monthly rent without the regular donations...

Just because certain people don't find the comics funny isn't a good enough reason for him to take a vacation. I dare you to look through the comic discussion threads and find one comic that was disliked.

Trust me, there's a reason for that :P

Brian? Not funny? Not have a plan? Obviously, you're in line with the imps! GET HIM!

Heh, anyway, the comics themselves are pretty funny, and I have not yet found one instance where I can't believe that Brian will have a plan. Sword-Chucks have been explained, as well as "The Wizard" that did it (Sarda), and even Hadoken has been explained.

There's a reason for everything, and even if it is just "A wizard did it."

You forget, Brian is a supermortal. He doesn't need a vacation. I mean, just look at some of the old news posts!

And I think putting White Mage at the beginning of the universe was awesome. Don't call things inane when you can't even spell the word right!

If Brian wants a vacation, he takes a vacation. It's not like we can do anything to stop him. So stop giving him ideas!

At any rate, free stabby knives to any who wish to impale the one who dares discredit 8-bit!

Someone says this at least once a month. Do what I do with comic strips -- stop reading it for a while when it stops being funny, come back a few months later to see if it's gotten better. If it has, yay, if not, oh well.

The fact is, any humorous item, tends to become unfunny as you get used to the Author's writing style. Humor is partially born from suprise & shock, and without which, things don't seem nearly as funny. Its not the author's problem, but yours as a reader... So take the suggestion, and take a break from the comic yourself.

Still, I find it odd that Brian didn't take the poster up on his suggestion. Any excuse is a good excuse, after all...

But then I'm taking next week off, so I've got Vacationing on the brain...
