Been a while since I've drawn anything ^^;; Criticism, as always, is welcomed.

I notice much improvement from your earlier drawings.
The over all form is not as stiff or forced. This drawing
is more natural and easy to look at. The shading is spread
out better and flows together also. Like the dark shading
by the hand, I keep getting drawn back to it.

Hee, thanks. I don't know if most of the improvement you see is from using a reference though; I had the silly idea that drawing from imagination was superior back then... finally figured out it'd be easier to get better if I know how its supposed to look. *nod nod*

Nothing wrong with a reference, tracing or copying for practice. Even still
you have to incorporate your own style. It's unavoidable. Your own
techniques for line and shading will still come thru.
Since what you're doing is obviously helping you to improve, stay with it
for a while until the forms & structures become memory. Then coming up
with your own sketches will come automatically.

I've been busy! *bought a new game... therefore has no life*

...so uh... sorry... anyway, found some spare time to ruin this lineart I did ages and ages ago.

Oh well!

Hugs to those here - and yes, I think I shall draw teh Bish Krylo... ...and that request I keep meaning to get on with... :sweatdrop

Paragon, you call that a sketch? o_O; I wonder how your "real" drawings are...

Oh well. I was a little bored during class and started doodling this:

Since it's a RO Priestess, I wondered what would happen if WM was in the same situation. Expect a new sketch soon.

PS: due to Photobucket's suckiness (or maybe my own incompetence and/or ignorance), the image is way too small. Oh well. Save it, zoom it, view it, delete it. Won't take more than a minute.

Paragon 02-03-2006 09:22 PM

Hey, that looks great! If you could tidy it up and put some colours on it...

hmmm...

....would you mind if I tried putting some lines and colours on it, Kaelus?

*has no idea what colours, mind you, but would have fun trying!*

Kaelus 02-04-2006 01:14 AM

Oh, please do!

I can see you're good at drawing, please honor my humble sketch with your touch! ><

f you want to know the colors of a standard RO Priestess, here they are. Black and red also look very good.

This should be interesting!

A sketchbook drawing for art class where we were supposed to draw something kind of out there. (Can't remember the word)

Anyway, just a quick sketchbook drawing. (it's not even really done yet either ^^; ) This is the first realism I've drawn in awhile without looking at a person for reference
