PURPLE! FREAKING PURPLE!!! I considered using reds, yet something seemed lacking... but red and purple! I love how after years of drawing, you instinctively know when the right idea has landed on you. And the ocean won't have to be a stupid blue anymore either!

Hah. I'm glad I could help with my suggestion of purple.

Warm colors FTW. (although purple isn't really a warm color >> )

Skweeb- is that a character from Neverwinter Nights? (I'm just guessing based on the back of the hand) It's pretty cool. I like how you did the fabrics.

Celess, Nazg is a character I've been playing on a free custom UO server that is loosely based off of D&D lore. On his hand is a the Bleeding Eye symbol for Gruumsh carved in with a knife and scarred over.

And considering the location of the sun and the general feel of the picture it seems to be early-mid evening with the sun setting. The ocean could feasibly be colored in reds, oranges, purples, and dark blues as well.

The version of him they have in the books looks scrawny and not male. War gods are not gimpy!! After playing Majora's Mask two years ago, I noticed several paralells and sought to remedy the situation.

I've been focusing on the face lately. At first, it really wasn't supposed to be a mime, but I thought I'd do so. I shaded in his skin to differentiate it from his face paint. His mouth sort of annoys me but that's basically it.

Mouths are fucking hard to do, so I don't blame you for hating it. The lips are the worst to get looking right- though your sketch has got them right fancy.

I think it's those curved lines you have accentuating the frown... if you're feeling up to fussing with it, try doing them using shading rather than solid outlines.

Oh ghods, he's got those nasty earring holes! Gah! Get away, creepy gruby-eared mime![/I] Sorry, It's not him. Those ear gauges are gross on everybody. *Sideshow Bob shudder*

The technique you have in drawing the eyes is superb.

Haha, I just wanted to have an excuse for him to have monsterous ear lobes. It just adds to the eeriness of the very nature of mimes....

Also, I agree with the drawing of the mouth. It took me forever to actually make him not look like a female with the black lipstick. He looked like a girl with high levels of testosterones..
