MSPAINT SHORTENS YOUR LIFESPAN!!!

Only for sprite art. Using paint for anything else takes longer than the delays Twilight Princess endured. Believe me, I have done entire pixel-by-pixel recolourings. The hours of life I've lost is comparable to having a smoking addiction.

The only thing I gained from the experience is the following knowledge: The longer you spend on an original picture, the more it hurts when your computer crashes.

Nooooo... My school blocked deviantart over the weekend. under nudity no less, my school is lame. oh well. new sketche soon, gotta re-scan it to the schools computers, dont have a scanner myself.

Whoops! I totally missed that question from earlier. I use "precise V7" pens ("pilot" brand) (I'm pretty sure that "V7" is referring to the point size, so you can go for other numbers if you don't like 7)

They're a little pricey, for pens (like, $1.97 per pen) but I absolutely love them for inking.

Oh, I save. If there's such a thing as a save nazi, I'm it. Technically, by "crash" I meant "hard drive went out like Kurt Cobaine." I should probably calm down and go for that 15 minute save frequency though. The little icon must feel emotionally abused.

They're something akin to felt-tip, in that they're not ballpoint or metal on the end. (I have no idea what method gets the ink out of a Pilot pen) These Staedtler pigment thingies can be ridiculously fine tipped - the sizes in that shot, from bottom to top are: 0.7, 0.5, 0.3, 0.1, and 0.05. The 0.1's the best in my opinion, as every artist needs something to ink eyes and fine hair with.

Gauging by the hypodermic tip, that's the 0.05. You have to be gentle with it (basically never lend it to anyone, even if you trust them with your life), but it's amazing for individual strands of hair and eyelashes.

Yes, I'm prone to going crazy and making uberpointlessly fine details sometimes.

I second Khael's suggestion. I also use those pens. They're fantastic :)

Sorry, crappy camera. :P The necklace strand is made with braided hemp and glass beads. The triforce is an ornament. For the tree. >_>
