You could put something along these lines. You don't need to credit me or anything, unless you think the class requires you to.

I think the symbolism explains itself.

OH MY GOD! XD Stupid stick man.

That's drop dead amazing CJ! You used stippling didn't you? You poor yet patient thing. I wouldn't mind more progress pics, to be honest.

All I can think of for the bottom strip is that it need to be a cut from a different scene all together. Like maybe a long shot with silhouettes of a couple samurai warriors running at one another. You could do some sort of gradient effect on the sky to divide it into separate frames, rather than use actual frames. It could show different shots of them through their fight, with like, the last one with only one warrior still standing honourably. I don't really know. They wouldn't have to kill if you didn't want them to.

Okay, this isn't a sketch but a photoshopped version of a Garfield comic. It was already doctored when I got my hands on it from the Meme Thread, but I thought the addition of the laser, as well as sound effects and completely roasting Jon was worth sharing.

That might be cool *contemplates*

Oh yes, and it's not stippled, it's scribbled. Heh I learned my lesson with stippling a long time ago. ^^ I don't think I have enough time/patience to stipple it.

But I'm glad you like it!

And funny garfield comic. XD

Phil- Nice comic ^^ What was in the box?

Khael! 10-12-2007 06:33 PM

I think it was death.

Oh scribbling, my hero! I've been messing around again with doctoring photos. I don't care if it's not as original as drawing from scratch; this was the result. I made sure the drinks were synced up with the original pill colours too. Go Neo.

Now I just need to win the caption contest...

Sir Pinkleton 10-12-2007 08:33 PM

Yunno, Khael, there's a "Worth A Thousand Words" forum game that may suit your photo shop-ness better than the caption contest...

Just sayin'.

Oh, and all the pictures I saw on this and the last page looked wonderful and/or funny [/on-topic]

Those stick people remind me a little of my brother's, which despite being stick figures, somehow still manage to be NSFW. That said, I do have this example that is only sort of inappropriate, as opposed to highly inappropriate.

Don't use this story.

Hm. I don't know if I can suggest anything... I'm trying to shake my brain from the idea of samurai stick figures. But it would be cool if it related to the top picture somehow.

Looking good, by the way. Progress pictures are acceptable and even encouraged.

This is what happens when I make a semi-serious attempt at a self-portrait, by the way, and it's scanned properly. It looks quite a bit like me (technically I was wearing sunglasses), which isn't to say that it's flattering. I wanted to sleep, I didn't want to attend my insomnia lecture. I'm going to scout materials for the ink version in the next couple of days.

Khael - Very cool photomanipulation. I like it ^^ (I showed it to my friends, they liked it too)

Katsuika - Cute picture. ^^ She looks tired (which is a good thing, since that's what you were going for, I believe)

On the other end of the spectrum of my drawing-ness...

My art teacher let us eat her still life, and I got bored and drew this on it. It amused me. Hopefully it amuses you too!

EDIT:
Tried my hand at some pixel art. It's fun!
I want to try something bigger and maybe better animated next time:

Oh! I have something! :p
But first, I must compliment everyone on their excellently beautiful pieces. Especially your samurai, Celes, it's very warrior-esque. And stippling's for chumps. Patient chumps.
Katiuska, I really like that pose. Envious of your table-sitting am I! :p Whenever I draw someone sitting at any flat surface they always look like they're right up against it so tight that they can't breathe.
And Khael, excellent shops. You're damn right he's going for the Coke. :p

Excellent work everyone, five stars! And now, for your viewing pleasure...

Something I cooked up about... 20 minutes ago. I've wanted to post again for awhile and I've started reading a comic by the name of We3, which inspired me to create this! Some big ol' soldier guy with his gun. Because I like big guns.

I kid. He looks mildly reminiscent of Starcraft and Warhammer Terrans/humans... whatever the pink two-leggers are called. Pixel art's something I haven't done in a looong time. I bet It's because it takes me equally as long just to make it. I hate drawing desks, for similar reasons. By comparison to mine, yours was built/drawn properly Katiuska!

Lookin' sharp, all of you guys. And also, Pirate monkies!!
